Is this thing on? I think this thing is on. First time I've ever talked into a book, so I'm just guessing here.

[There is the sound of the book being picked up, possibly prodded at, a page turned back and forth]

Cool, the words really do just turn up. Ok. Right, this is General Jack O'Neill speaking. How we all doing, campers? Just taking a chance on any familiar faces reading this, which is worth a shot I suppose.

Looking for weapons. Kinda need those. Also, are there any fishing ponds around? I understand I may be here for a while. And if anyone has seen a big round thing, kind of goes 'whoosh' and looks like it's filled with water? I'd appreciate you letting me now.

It isn't that you can't question magic, it's just more difficult because there isn't a concrete set of rules for magic that we can understand.

And I don't particularly like that. Bad enough when we do understand the physics.
