Tokunaga? [The voice is quiet at first over the journal, hesitant and confused before Seles takes a moment to look at her surroundings. Extravagant, open, and large...] ...This isn't His Majesty's... [Her thought trails off as her eyes find their way to the open journal on the stand nearby, and she's equally startled at the way she can see her words appear. There's a loud gasp and she slams the journal shut and takes off down the hall.
Was she being watched...?! The way she got here wasn't the only thing she couldn't remember either, though most thoughts were out of her mind at the moment thanks to the immediate panic and shock. And worry, of course. What kind of magic was this?! She had to find out what was going on!
Honestly, with her attire it's not so easy for her to hide. But still she tries, sneaking down the halls and hiding behind plants, peering from around corners and into doors, and generally being a snoop. A very bad quality snoop.
Feel free to run into her anywhere in the castle!]

Well...
Everyone who comes here loses something. Can be anything- memories, items, abilities. But it's something all the same.

[She was kind of hoping he'd say no and that maybe this was some sort of affect of being taken here. Maybe she'd hit her head, or was just getting sick or stressed out or... or something! But how could such a large chunk of her memories just disappear like that?]
no subject
[She doesn't want to cry, especially not in front of him, so she doesn't. But she feels pretty close to it all of a sudden and closes her eyes instead.]
That's terrible!

Seles?
I know it sucks- but maybe it's not yours-!
[Unless she already noticed something...the girl is crazy bright]

She tries to straighten herself. She's just a kid still, really, so it's hard to stay so strong. But she has to...! So she opens her eyes, glances at Zelos, and looks back to the floor. She still kind of hesitates in saying this, but if he dares to joke around about it she won't accept it at all!
So with that in mind it's easier to say.]
...All I can remember from when we were kids is you.

[It's a rare sight, to ever catch Zelos completely off guard. But if anyone can manage, it's Seles. He stares in shock, the loss hitting him like a truck full of bricks. He knew fully well what the castle could do with memories. Martel and Raine both could not remember their little siblings, much to their distress. He's heard all sorts of stories of things people could not remember]
[But to not remember anything of a childhood...not her mother, not anything about father, not anyone else she knew. Just...him? ]
[Just the guy that ruined her life by existing?]
[He didn't know what to think beyond how much he hated this damn place]

Better than if she said she was afraid or worried or bothered.]

[So. Lying.]
No.
Not til you go back to our world.

[What do I do? The question repeats itself so much in her mind that she's out of words, looking away awkwardly.
She feels pretty useless right about now.]
I appreciate the information...

[He shoves his hands into his pockets, looking down awkwardly as well. He isn't sure what to do either. What information he could give about her childhood well...it wasn't great. He knew almost nothing about her mother beyond what she had done and the few encounters he had with her before then. And father well...not a whole lot of good things to say anyway]
This world's not really tied to ours, so...you can live however you like while you're at the castle. And if you'd...
[he stops himself. Yeah, she'd probably want as little interaction as possible with him. Who is he kidding?] Well, nevermind.
no subject
[She was listening to that. And why would he go and interrupt himself... agh. She's still so surprised just to see him again.]
No, you were saying something! If I'd what?
no subject
[But nope, hasn't racked up enough courage points for that]
...If you'd have any questions, you could always ask me, heh.
[Well. That's something. Right?]

I'll find out what I need to on my own. [Again she comes off harsh without meaning to.] Is that all?
no subject
[Harsh indeed. Even if it was unintentional, it makes Zelos's walls go back up. That's right, she doesn't need him. He would probably just cause trouble for her anyway.]
Think so. I'll...come check up later, once you get more settled in.
[Even if she doesn't need him...he still sorta has to explain that whole Martel thing. But he didn't want to dump that pile of issues when she was still getting adjusted here.]
no subject
[Cold again... She's so frustrated with herself, with all of this, it's like she's screaming at herself to just hug him. To hold onto him and never let go. Use this time to her advantage.
But she can't...
For once she doesn't have to stand here waiting sadly for Zelos to leave though. So she turns and does so herself, trying to keep her head high.]
no subject
[He'll turn his back to her as he watches her go, he rather not see her leave so it's better not to look.]
[The moment he hears her step out of the room, his shoulders will finally slump and his head will hang. ]
Heh...I really am an idiot.
[What he means by that, it's anyone's guess]
