[Ino's out at the edge of the forest, doing what looks to be some rather complicated target practice. She's taking a break right now, but there are a couple of targets nailed to nearby trees. All of them have tons of knives stuck in them, forming a pattern that resembles a certain symbol.

But while she's taking a break and leafing through the journal, she's noticing something. She was kind of expecting people to be pissed about the enemies they had to fight, the illusions that were cast on them ... hell, she was even waiting for people to be mad at her for not warning them in advance about these things.

But no, all she's seeing is entries talking about the clothes and how awful they were. After everything that was already said to her about them during the past week, it's really starting to grate her nerves ... so she'll dictate one simple sentence:]

Seriously, the next time I see someone complaining about the clothes everyone had to wear the past week, I'm going to punch them in the face. Hard.

Okay, by the way, I totally met that Kalinda girl the other day at the clinic. You know, the one Once-ler mentioned.

[and there's a surprised pause; after all, they didn't know each other that well ... so it was kind of a surprise to see him checking up on her] Yeah, it was fine. It was nice to be able to show my boyfriend where I live.

Oh, good! That's good. [A pause.] And oh, you have a boyfriend? I didn't know that.

Yeah! His name's Gale. He comes from a different world, though, so he'd never seen my home, aside from some photos.

Yeah, he did. I guess it's a lot like the place he comes from, except without some of the ... well, horrible stuff that happens there.

Yeah, it's -- well, it's a lot worse than most places. They ... make little kids fight each other to the death every year, for starters.

Well, I guess the government tries to keep all of the nice stuff to themselves and uses these "games" to keep the other people in line.

What are you waiting for, then? In a place like this you have to take your chances while you have them.

Yeah, but what if I make the wrong decision? Plus, there's tons of people out there way more handsome and talented and stuff, and I'm just...well, me. I mean, what if I'm not the right person for her?

You won't ever know if you are the right person unless you try. And she obviously likes you, so don't put yourself down like that! Even if you aren't all that great, it's her choice whether or not she likes you or not.

Yeah, but that's easy to say! I mean, I've never been in a relationship like this at all, so what if I do something wrong and it all goes downhill? I don't want to hurt her.

Are you seriously that worried about it? It's not that hard to be in a relationship. Or at least, it shouldn't be. Just be yourself! She likes you for you, remember?
