[Shiki blinks. Then she realizes that she's blinking. Slowly, she moves all of the parts of her body until she accepts that she actually can again. She then runs over and hugs her mannequin. She now knows how it feels. She just spent nearly a month as one, after all.

She then walks over to her journal, which has been open next to her the entire time she was in her mannequin'd state of being, and idly flips to a new page and begins speaking into it.]

So, you know what sucks? Being a mannequin. That's what sucks.

Anyways, um, so I'm pretty sure I was a mannequin for, like, a month or so? I don't know for sure. But, um... how is everyone, I guess? I haven't talked to you guys in a while! I mean, I couldn't, but... Equius! Ted! Barney! Tamaki! Maya! Doctor! Just... everyone! Talk to me? I've missed you~

Oh, and... did I miss anything? I mean, I could hear everything from the journal, but a lot happens all at once, you know?

We know what we're fighting for. Protecting the human race is kinda important.

We've been fighting for years. If we were able to stop it, we would have. Got our own problems.

Rebels against the Central Government of the UNSC. It's all sorta quietened down, because the Covenant is hitting them as hard as it's hitting us.

People are rebelling against their own government in the middle of a war? I didn't even know you could do that...

Most've them have stopped.

W-Well... I mean, I guess fewer rebellions are a good thing... right?

No guarantee they won't just start up again if we beat the Covenant.

Well, there's never a guarantee that people won't rebel against any government... ever.

You don't have any kind of culture of your own? Traditions, or things that you celebrate, or... I dunno, special foods or anything?

The way I was brought up. Might celebrate christmas if I'm not on a mission, stuff like that.
