Chestnuts On an Open Fire - Or Is It To Early? [ Action ]
[Stuck in a painting for a mont left you wanting to be outside. To be walking around, to be in motion! It was a bit to nippy to take Svitana out, the poor reptile, so that left doing things more or less on foot. Wrapped up in a warm wrap, Ashura stopped by the kitchen for four very specific items, set them in a cloth bag, and then went out into the gardens.
He found a bench, brushed it off, and sat. Promptly he opened the bag and set out a metal bowl over a smattering of rocks and a long, metal spoon to the side. Concentrating, he began to heat the bowl until the air shimmered with heat. He took the next item out - pecans. He and come to enjoy the sweet nut. He tossed those in, and finally brought out the last item - brown sugar. He took a generous handful and sprinkled that onto the pecans in the bowl.
Picking up the spoon, he carefully began to turn the tasty treat in the bowl to thoroughly coat all the pecans, the smell of sugar filling the air around him.
Yes, he was a king, but what can he say? There was something just so satisfying about making your own sweet treat, and with them the outside was not so bad. He might as well be outside as much as he could before the real winter weather forced him into hibernation, right?
