[On a good day, Mufasa's happy to general keep himself to a smaller portion of the castle. While he doesn't mind spooking the occasional resident who happens to wander by, he generally avoids high-traffic areas out of courtesy for the others. No need to traumatize anyone if he were here only a short amount of time. And if he ended up being one of the residents who stayed here longer, well, he figured the residents would gradually and surely get accumulated to his presence.

On a good day, of course.

This isn't a good day.

Because, infected with the Pride strain, he can't see why he should have to keep himself out of the way just so some lower beings-- humans-- would remain blissfully ignorant. No, not blissfully; everyone should be aware of his great presence. He is a king, after all. The king. And he deserved to be treated and respected as one.

So today, he walks through the castle, head held high, his slow gait powerful and sure. If you pass him by, you'd best lower your head as you do if you want to avoid conflict. And you'd better go around him and give a wide berth. ... really, you should just turn the other way and take the long route, because he is no mood for anyone's shit today.

[Allen was right outside the lobby doors, his car parked near the entrance to help stockpile with supplies. There's no telling if the cure will work after all, it's best to prepare all possible supplies for people needing to evacuate after all. While double checking to make sure he has everything he intended to get this load, he looks up and sees through an open door to see Mufasa strutting past]

[Mufasa growls when the man approaches. He's not sure what you are, exactly, but you're not a lion, so you're definitely inferior. (Granted, even if you had been a lion, Mufasa is the king and therefore superior anyway. But, details.)]

[She's known about the massive furbeast in the castle for quite a while now, but somehow their paths had never crossed. She wouldn't hunt another resident, of course, as past experience has taught her that anything inside the castle is definitely off-limits.

But here he is stalking around so smugly. It's almost like he's tempting her. Or maybe he's teasing her? After all, look at him! He's a lion, suddenly the attraction of all the castle's attention, leaving Nepeta to be forgotten once again.

She'll just have to get rid of that glory-hog.

Invisible, she waits for him to come closer to where she stands, crouched and ready to pounce.]

[Yep, guess who's being way too damn smug and prideful to even really give a care about all these inferior scents around? So he's walking right into her trap.]

[Excellent. As soon as he's within range, Nepeta doesn't dare hold back, springing out from hiding and leaping toward the large beast.

She's wrestled with larger before, and displays no fear whatsoever when the two of them collide.]

[ Asbel, unfortunately, is really not good at reading people's emotions right off. He's kind of oblivious like that. And reading a lion's emotions? Yeah, not going to go well.

As such, when he passes Mufasa in the hall, he stops and lifts a hand in greeting. ]

[Something about Asbel gets a particularly strong reaction out of Mufasa. Maybe it's the way he addressed him so casually; maybe it's the use of his name, rather than a proper title; or the simple fact he tried to walk past him. Either way, he suddenly turns on Asbel, snarling loudly. He doesn't intend to harm the boy, and it's all just a display of dominance, but it's a pretty scary one none-the-less.]

Do not address me so casually. You are no where near my level.

[ Confusion passes over the young man's face. ]

What's wrong? I mean, you sound kind of...different from the other day...

[Chell's wandering from the kitchen, munching on a slice of cake, covered in whipped cream and chocolate shavings, and has gotten it all over her face. But she seems not to care. She does, however notice the lion... And instead of taking that longer root, she smiles at him. But she sure doesn't bow. And she walks around him, but she's not afraid of him. Hell, she knows him. And she's too busy eating this amazing cake. God it's the best cake in existence. Nom nom nom.]

[And the number one rule around this Prideful jerk is not to walk around him without showing some sort of display of submission. So he steps boldly in Chell's path, growling, holding himself higher.]

[And Chell is thinking "Fuck you man." She doesn't say it obviously but she does glare at him. Fuck it. She's got whipped cream from mouth to right under her eyes, but that doesn't matter. She's not going to submit to anyone, let alone a friend of hers. She tries to keep walking, turning to flip him off.]

[And for once, she does exactly as she's told. Hell. No need to tick off a lion who's being a dick, more than she already had anyhow. She tears off in the opposite direction of Mufasa, as fast as her feet will carry her.]

[Giotto hasn't exactly heard about the virus yet, though he knew people were sick with something and acting irrationally. He had half a thought about leaving because he knew that if he started acting irrationally then people would possibly get hurt. He ran a slightly nervous hand through his hair as he walked down the hall, trying to decide if he should leave or not. Sorry, Mufasa, he doesn't even see you or notice you. Yet.]
