☇twelve.
[Jenny is standing in the lobby, cigarette in hand. She's also staring sourly at the giant Christmas tree in here, like it's a personal affront to her.
Occasionally she'll flick a cigarette at the thing before lighting up another one. It never seems to catch fire, though, which just makes her even more irritated.
She has her journal open nearby in case something interesting happens, and she turns to dictate toward it.]
Somebody tell me I'm not the only Scrooge in this place. I feel like I'm going mad with all this holiday bloody cheer. And we've still got weeks to go, sweet christ.
[She pauses to toss another cigarette at the tree.
Still nothing. Damn.]
Has anyone figured out the thing that makes everyone kiss yet? That'll be a welcome distraction, at least.
[ooc. open in person or over the journal, kissmas or general!]

Dictated!
Un-unfortunately not.
It's as if everywhere I go whatever it is... is... making me kiss someone. Whatever it is, it's doing a swell job at hiding itself, that-that's for sure.
You wouldn't happen to um, know when this... when this is over... would you?
yes!
[he sounds a bit out of sorts, though...] So I take it you're not the kissing type.

[Though that kissing comment gets a laugh out of him.]
Ummm... S-some days more than others. Definitely.
Let's just say I've kissed far too many mouths today... and I'd rather not think about where they've been.

Are you not from Earth, then? [Or maybe an alternate Earth, that's possible.]

But that was back when I was an AI living in a science facility a million miles under the ground. Still an AI now, but I guess this is different. Being all humanized now.
We-we can get ill????

She glances over her shoulder at this woman.]
That's what I hear the tradition is, anyway.

So tacky.]

I'm not a big fan of the holiday either, but I never really considered resorting to arson.
yes!! i accept these things :')
It ain't arson unless the thing actually goes up in flames.
[She turns back to the tree, glaring at it.]
Which so far seems to be no small task.

Attempted arson?

It can be a new Christmas tradition.

What is a Scrooge?
no subject
Scrooge is a character from an English story; he's sort of a miserly old man who doesn't like Christmas at all.
no subject
Do you dislike Christmas? Why?
no subject
I'm not very religious. [WHICH IS AN UNDERSTATEMENT but she doesn't want to offend.]

That is generally considered a fire hazard, you know.
forever!
Only when fire's imminent. I've been at this all day and haven't had any luck at all.
no subject
But...why would you want to?
