twelfth snare
.... Man, it's getting colder every day, seems like.
[there's the sound of Gale blowing on his hands, and the rustle of dry leaves] Back home in the District, we would've been up to our knees in snow by now, at the very least. Does winter come here as quickly as it went? I remember how we had to all literally clean it up, a few days after I got here.
Do we have to ... I don't know, escort the birds away and help tuck all the animals in, too, or something? I was part of the team that cleared away the snow ... do we have to make it, now?
Either way ... I'm picking up all my snares and traps in the woods now, so they don't get caught in the weather and get ruined or warped. Just in case, I don't know, five feet of snow all comes thumping down in a giant heap overnight one of these nights.
Do any of you take similar precautions for winter that I should be worried about? Aside from the obvious kissing thing.
[and no, he is not mentioning the virus, or having been sick. the best way to get over something like that, and the way he acted toward his housemates is to stay out of their way and not talk to them.
OBVIOUSLY. he is the wisest of the wise, young master Hawthorne is]
