[ When people leave, she tries her best to roll with it. She always knew there was a possibility of Renee showing up, or Charlie leaving. Hell, her sister or mother can show up here one day, much to her chagrin.

Except she's having a difficult time letting go of Charlie leaving. With everything that's happened, all the fights they had, then disappearing not too long after Renee's showed up... it's absolutely childish, but she feels betrayed. ]

[ Kate can be found in the City Royale this early afternoon, pampering herself with the joys of shopping. Since it's still bright out and she has hours to go before putting on her uniform and heading out for nightly patrol, she's taking her time from store to store, also examining some of the Valentine's decorations adorned everywhere. She mostly wants to be away from the castle, but with the upcoming holiday, it means a sale on things like fancy chocolates, wine, undergarments and other clothes!! ]

[Every now and then, Brennan does wonder away from the castle and into the town. Mostly, when she needs supplies - since wishing is only a last resort.

Today, the trip is for some badly needed cat litter.

But she pauses in front of one of the windows, decorated from top to bottom with an overabundance of decorations. Almost immediately, Brennan makes a face.]

I do not see why anyone outside of the castle is celebrating.

[ Overhearing her from nearby, Kate tilts her shades a little lower to get a better look at Brennan. She looks amused. ]

There are couples in the city, too.
