track 05: all i want for christmas is you (dictated)
[Kurt is leaning over a counter on the kitchen where he's placed two books: A cookbook and his journal. He dictates to the journal as he lazily flips through the cookbook.]
I think I want to make something. Food. Does anyone have any requests? I'll be in the kitchen.
[He's trying not to think about Blaine, really. The kissing hasn't helped with that issue.]
(ooc| Open for planned or unplanned kisses, or just journal talk!)

I'll try the biscuits, and I can definitely promise corn without the cob.

Hey.

Lovely footwear.
[He's already taken out a bag of frozen corn to thaw, and he's currently looking for biscuit recipes in the cookbook.]
How are you?

[She reaches over and absently pokes the package of corn.]
Kinda thinking about staying in my room all month.

It really is an awful trick, isn't it?

[She shrugs, and then leans over to look at the cookbook. Seeing few pictures, she quickly gets bored.]
... So you know how to cook?

[He sighs, then finally looks over at her, nodding.]
This and that. My dad's not exactly an expert... And neither am I, but I learned to pick up some of the slack once I was old enough to use the oven.

My mom cooks pretty well, but for the rest of us takeout is kind of the extent.

Oh! Here we go, biscuits... Let's see...

[She pulls her feet up onto the stool and watches.]
You found something?
no subject
[It's a joke, but kind of a half-hearted one.]
I think so. This looks doable.

[She tilts her head to skim the recipe.]
We usually just use the tube ones.

[She raises an eyebrow and laughs, before slipping off of her stool to come get a closer look.]
I don't think you want me helping.

Why don't you start by grabbing this stuff?

What the heck is shortening?

Something you bake with.
