Tano [5] -- Action
[It's not much different from any other day. Mufasa is lying off to the side in the library, casually reading a children's Christmas book. He also has the journal off to the side, which he glances at once in awhile, and puts the book down to take the journal if it catches his attention. He seems very calm, despite all the kissing shenanigans going on. Not because he's immune, but because this is one of the few tricks played by the castle for which the lion gives his approval.
Nothing quite like watching two strangers kiss and then squirm and flail about. Goodness, you'd have thought the castle was populated by virgins.
Well, anyhow, he'll just be reading off to the side, then, but every once in awhile he'll look up when he's found himself stuck on something, and simply look around to see if there was anything interesting going on (i.e. yet another unfortunate pair falling victim to the castle's trolling). It's also an invitation for anyone to come over and chat with him, if they're feeling bold enough to risk a possible lion tongue getting slathered over their face.]
((Open for kissing, planned and unplanned! This is gonna be my last post for Mufasa, so let's make it a good one. ♥))

"Hello." she says. Her voice is raspy and low and whispery, but she did speak. To him. Leaning close so that anyone else in the library couldn't hear her. She only speaks to close friends.]
[Ooc: There you go. You said make it a good post, and Chell really considers Mufasa a friend, so he can have her words.

Good day.
[And then she speaks to him. His ear flicks at the whispery voice, and he looks at her.]
Oh? So you can speak.

"Only to people I am fond of. You are a friend, so I am fond of you."
no subject
I suppose, then, that I could finally learn of your name?
no subject
"Well, it seems we both learned something today. I had no idea you liked reading till today. Had I known, I would've written my name for you much sooner. I'm Chell."
[She hugs him. After all, he's her friend.... And then she thinks of something else.
"Thank you so much for saving me from my nightmares. I will never ever forget you for that."

Umm....hi there. Can you...talk?

Until he hears him being addressed, to which he looks up once more.]
I can indeed.

Oh, cool. At my school back home we have a teacher named Dr. Henry McCoy, and he's got blue fur and a face like a cat. You...kind of remind me of him. What are you reading?
no subject
Just a little book I happened to find on Christmas. It's fictional, I do believe, but it is enlightening none-the-less.
no subject
Oh! I know that story! My Ma used to read it to me every Christmas Eve when I was little! It's a really fun story, isn't it?
[Meanwhile, Evan is going to stretch his arm up to the top of his pile, his arm extending noticeably further than it should be able to, courtesy of his powers. He brings down not a book, but what looks like a typed report of some kind, titled "Mutation, and it's application in evolution and the human genome" written by Professor Charles Francis Xavier. He pulls down a second book, which appears to be a medical biology textbook, and opens it to a random page before laying it open in front of him as he begins to read the report.]
I wish I could say I was reading something Christmas-y, but this is a paper written by one of the guest lecturer at my school. Doctor McCoy would be mad at me if he found out I wasn't keeping up on my studies, so here I go.

He was currently browsing through some really thick tomes that wouldn't usually be appealing to a child his age- but he had always been an avid reader... He hefted three of these thick books in his arms as he headed to a less shelved area to start reading... when he noticed Mufasa reading and gave a little grin. ]
Hey Mufasa! You like reading?
[ Unexpected, but kinda cool. Besides, he always approved of fellow bookworms. ]
no subject
[He gives a playful smile, although it disappears at the books he's holding.]
A heavy reader, are we? [Goodness, can you carry all that well enough Genis?]
no subject
Wait a minute. Wait.
Is that...a lion?!?]
AAH!
[Jane please, this is a library. Keep it down.]
no subject
Like she hadn't even screamed, he smiles and bows his head to her.]
Good day.
no subject
Yep, those knees just gave out and she's fallen to the floor on her posterior.]
no subject
Are you quite alright?
no subject
[Remember to breathe, Jane! But don't do it too quickly or you might hyperventilate.]
Uh...yes?
