[There's a little girl standing outside the castle in skirt and red hoodie, looking around frantically. Maybe this wouldn't be too strange if she wasn't thoroughly caked with blood, front and back.]

[She's about ready to bolt, but her feet seem glued to the spot. It looks like she's not sure what to start towards--the giant castle, the city in the distance, or whatever trees are around?]

[She's covered in gross stuff. If she thinks about it too much (or anything else, really) it makes her want to cry.]

[ Alice raises her eyebrows, outstretching her hand. Last chance! ]

[She hesitantly looks at Alice, and then takes her hand.]

Excellent. [ She grins so wide, before standing up to walk away with the girl's hand in tow. ]

What should I call you?

[Clem follows, looking up at her, and then at their surroundings.]

Clementine is fine. Or just Clem. I don't mind either.

Where are we going?

Where else? To find one hurt, tall and sick man.

[She perks up at that.]

Where do we start? We were in a store. I think it was a jewelry store or something.

There's a jewelry store in town, but it's a different town. We could look for his room.

Or yours, really. Yours will be easier to find.

Why is mine easier to find?

Because it will be there. Your friend's room is hypothetical.

What's hypothetical mean?

It's when you can't say if it's true or not. If the room is even there.

Nothing's free. [ Alice peers at the girl. ]
