[There's a little girl standing outside the castle in skirt and red hoodie, looking around frantically. Maybe this wouldn't be too strange if she wasn't thoroughly caked with blood, front and back.]

--Lee? Lee!

[She's about ready to bolt, but her feet seem glued to the spot. It looks like she's not sure what to start towards--the giant castle, the city in the distance, or whatever trees are around?]

Walkers? [Okay, yep, that got his attention.] None followed you, did they?

[She looks around.]

I don't think so.

[No... probably not, or they'd already know about it...]

There's showers an' stuff inside. Get this shit offa' you.

It smells worse than doo-dee.

I just--go inside? The castle?

Yeah. It's safe, no walkers.

[A pause]

What's your name?

None at all.

I'm Clementine. What's your name?

Been here for a while. Ain't none I've seen.

[He shifts slightly.]

Daryl. C'mon, people'll start t'stare. [And he moves to open the door to the castle.]

Okay. Did you come from Savannah, too?

[She hurries in.]

No. Atlanta, or nearby.

[He even holds the door open for the kid.]

You by yaself back home?

[She shakes her head.]

No. I have Lee, and a group. We've been moving around together.

[And she pauses to stare in awe at the lobby.]

Woah...

[And Daryl can't help but grin slightly.]

Big, ain't it?

Huge. I don't think I've ever been in a place this big.

Yeah, well, you can call it home until this place gets sick and tosses ya back.

[He looks around the lobby, just out of habit.]

You get a room an' everythin'.

Do I have to share?

Not if you don't want to.

[He points to the staircase.]

They're all up there. All the rooms. Want me to help find yours?

Yes, please.

Alright. Should be up here, or in one of the towers.

[God, this kid reminds him of Sophia. Maybe that's why he's being so nice? He wouldn't normally be like this..]

Okay. [She sticks right by his side, peering around him as they go along.]

So... really, there aren't any walkers here? None at all? No one seems scared...

[Or violent.]

Ain't no walkers, but the damn place is magic. Don't trust it won't bring 'em here for th'fuck of it.

[No, he's not going to tone the language down.]

It's done some freaky stuff.

That's a bad swear.

[And a dismissive hand-wave.]

Trust me. Ya'll hear worse from folk in this place.

That doesn't make it okay.

[A shrug at that.]

Stick close. Y'all don't wanna get lost.

[She frowns, but sticks close.]
