I think if I were to compare the two, I've had much better luck with bears than cats so long as I've been here. Maybe if I were a penguin, things wouldn't have gone so well?

[A bird Yuuya's size should absolutely not be consuming the amount of caffeine he currently is. Despite what a bad idea is, he's hanging around the lobby tree with his Coke, dressed for winter in a scarf and some kind of polar fleece jacket.

There's a momentary pause in the dictation - presumably so he can dip his beak into the pop for a drink.]

Days like this, I'm reminded of the holidays of my youth! There would have been an extremely extravagant party by now at the household where I spent most of my childhood.

I'm afraid my dates weren't always very well approved of, though! Ah, extended family.

For that reason alone, I daresay this year might outstrip all these memories just yet!

... Perhaps I'll see if she's free this evening.

He's free for in-person interaction, as well, of course - of the bird kissing variety ("pecking" - get it?), or just to be reminded that birds probably should not want to buy the world a Coke.]

I did! But only after I heard everyone else talking about it on the journal. Since nobody got sick, I thought it should be okay.

I hope they stay a while; I'm looking forward to expanding my horizons with more mammals. They're certainly pleasant for quadrupeds -- though not quite so much as ponies, of course.
