[A direwolf no bigger than a dog has been roaming the town for days. It does not attack anyone, though it hunts small game fiercely. It looks like the wolf that was walking about a few months ago, though Sansa is on no loss.

It howls for its sister, its kin. It scares most dogs away. But finally she catches the scent of her companion. Sansa is on her way to the stables, outside of the castle when the beast runs at her.

A wolf making a run at someone should terrify anyone, but Sansa cries out at the sight of her direwolf. It has been two years since that night on the Kingsroad. She gravely wishes to go back to that night.

But now she's hunched over, direwolf in her arms, swearing to the New and the Old and whatever gods are listening that she will never part from Lady again.]

[And Clint's out for a walk in the snow, decked out in black, warm clothing. He's unarmed, at least visibly.

He's wandering around the stables, spotting a form ahead, and starts wandering towards it, lazily, almost.]

[She's not fully grown, but as wild as any wolf looks. She's run up further towards the stables and then back toward Sansa, simply happy to be in her presence.]

[And there's a wolf. Yep. Wolf. A hand goes behind his back and he moves a bit more cautiously.

Can't be too careful.]

[Sansa turns the corner right as Lady takes notice of the man. She dips her head in greeting before patting her leg.]

To me, Lady.

[compromisedarrow]

[And Clint relaxes. Slightly. Ever so slightly.]

She yours?

[songsandstories]

[Lady nudges her leg with her snout.]

Lady is her own. She is a companion of mine though.

[compromisedarrow]

Right.

[Give him a moment...]

So, lemme get this straight. Your companion is a wolf?

[songsandstories]

She is. [Lady pads toward him, and she calls to him again.]

[persequor]

[ Arya starts when Nymeria suddenly charges from her. Girl is left behind quickly as the wolf runs to its long ago lost sister. ]

[songsandstories]

[Lady is smaller, but she howls upon the sight of her sister. She nudges and plays with her, glad to see her. Sansa isn't far away, smiling widely with tears that threaten to fall. She's back. Lady is back and nothing can take her away.]

[persequor]

[ When Arya sees them, she thinks Sansa is again on a loss. But then she spots her sister. ]

Is that Lady for true?

[songsandstories]

[She watches, batting at her eyes until she sees Arya.]

It seems it is. The castle has given her to me.

[persequor]

May I?

[ She holds her hand out to them so Sansa knows what she wants to do. ]

[songsandstories]

[She dips her head and Lady trots forward, sniffing at the girl. She remembers her and soon enough, Sansa's companion was nudging her.]
