[This was more than a little unexpected, waking up in a strange bed located in a lavish room when he had gone to sleep in the home of a civilian living in an area of a nuclear detonation. Needless to say it was far nicer, but it didn't make sense in the slightest. There was only one possible explanation that he could come up with, the open journal catching the rustling of a blanket and a faint chuckle.]
So, the Demon Lord has finally dragged me down to Hell...
[Though 'fancy' wasn't the word that would come to mind to describe Hell at all. He walks around the room a little, noticing the journal from the corner of his eye and making a note to glance through it shortly, as soon as he takes in his surroundings. He goes to the door, opening it and taking a brief glance around the second floor hallway, making a faint smirk appear on his face.]
It was nice of him to even make a reservation for me. Though this isn't quite what I was expecting.
I wonder if he's even here...
[ooc: journal or action, either is fine! he's peering out the door of room 203. c:]

[Rise's voice sounds a bit uncertain, but this is the first time she's heard this particular person.]
Hey, do you hear me? Your journal's open!
[She also seems very impatient.]
no subject
Yes, I hear you... now who - and where - are you?
no subject
[Her voice trails off for a second before she realizes she should probably answer him.]
Oh, I'm Rise. I'm in the castle too. Did you just wake up in some reeaally comfy bed in a strange room?
no subject
Castle? [Did she mean Stier Castle? No, that didn't make any sense. There was no way a couple of civilians could take him all the way to Stier Castle without him knowing. There was still a chance he was dead, or maybe he was dreaming. None of it sure as hell made any sense. So he just speaks in a dry, almost sarcastic tone.]
And from the way you're talking, I'm going to assume that it happened to you as well then.
no subject
[Her smile is actually almost audible.]
Do you know where you are yet? There should be a number outside your room...

[He'll stay quiet for a moment. Somehow telling this random talking-through-a-book girl his location didn't really seem like the best idea, but if she had information on this crazy fantasy, then it's definitely worth having. Besides, she'd be coming to him, not the other way around.
So eventually he'll move over to the door and glance on the outside of it-- wait, why the hell did that door have his name on it? Now he really wants some answers as he steps back in and makes another glance towards the journal. His tone isn't particularly the friendliest at the moment now.]
Wherever room 203 would be in this place.
no subject
[She doesn't seem happy about this.]
Okay, I'll be there as soon as I can!
[It takes some time, but Rise makes it to the door of Room 203. She can't help but sneak a peek at the nameplate before quietly knocking. After all, she did introduce herself earlier.]
Hello? It's me!
no subject
The door's open.
no subject
At least, not the kind she's worried about. So she slowly opens the door and peeks inside.]
... Isn't it a little forward just inviting a girl into your room like tha-
[Rise abruptly stops. The man in front of her is HUGE. She knows she's not very tall, but seriously. He's at least a foot taller. And way bigger. And he looks ready for a fight.]
Whoa, hold on. Nobody's here to hurt you, okay?
[She couldn't even imagine being capable of hurting him...]

He's actually whistling softly, cheerfully, as he walks along, nodding to the new face has he peeks out of his room.]

Looking briefly perplexed, he'll return that nod and give a slight smirk, though one with a keen eye could see he's obviously very much on his guard.]
What, this place lets a guy practice archery?
no subject
If it didn't, I wouldn't stand for it. You're new here, aren't you?
no subject
I'm sure you could explain where 'here' is, then?
no subject
Cair Paradisa. Probably hard to believe, but it's in another dimension or something. And we're trapped here.
no subject
Then I would assume there's no point in asking how to get out, but rather make the next question how I even got here when I was just in Belka.

Now I'm feeling less like Cinderella and more like Alice. [He scoffs, remembering a line someone dropped to him months ago. That 'magical carriage' didn't take him to Hell after all. Either way, his posture eases, although not fully.]
I guess I'll have no choice but to believe this for the time being. What's your name?

I mean... You're new here, right?

And you are?

Well, I guess it's only proper to learn your neighbors. [He scoffs a little.] Been here long?
no subject
Yeah.
no subject
And let me guess. You don't have any answers for this place outside of 'magic' either, do you?
