[Bunnymund is quite used to having Weird Things happen to him. It's just what you deal with when you become a Guardian, and you need to roll with the punches. That's not to say he wasn't worried when he woke up in an actual bedroom in a place he'd never been before. Far from it. He was VERY worried.

It didn't help that his tunnels didn't get him anywhere familiar either. Still, he's held off on panicking completely until night has come, and Paradisa's big blue moon looms high in the sky. Anyone who believes in the existence of the Easter Bunny will see a 6'1 rabbit, standing on the roof, apparently having a conversation with the moon. A very one sided conversation]

Okay. I get that you have your cryptic ways and we just need to deal with them, but I really don't understand what I'm doing here. This isn't Earth, and I thought I was needed there more than anywhere. So if you could give me a few pointers, explain what you want me to do here? She'll be apples. [Silence] Anything at all. [Muttering a little darkly to himself, he finally opens the journal, watching the words form into it as he speaks. They might not be able to HEAR him, but he wonders if this stupid magical book will let them see the WORDS he speaks. Okay. Speaking to the mortals. He can do this]

I've been leafing through this magical book since I rocked up in this place, and I figure I've got most of this mess figured out. But I've got an important question. Why're you talking about New Years? Is it January here? [Because if it is, well, that's his prep time sliced MORE than in half]

Da. Sent back permanently, or temporarily. Sometimes you go back, usually after getting hit in the head, and then return, and time passes in between. It can be days or years.

Sometimes. Or you could just wind up with a concussion.

[She puts out her cigarette and, for the first time, turns to look at him.]

Are they blind, in your world? You are not easy to miss.

No, most of them just grow up, and stop believing in the Easter Bunny.

I find it easiest to simply believe in everything here. Vampires, fairies, God. Why not the Easter Bunny too?

... I would not have pegged you for Australian, though. Usually they draw you cuter, too.

Well, that's refreshing.

[He laughs, folding his arms] Most people don't peg me as one of the true blues. And I think people prefer the fluffy critter idea. It's not the easiest way to put fear into your enemies hearts. [Even if, by god, he TRIES]

Does the Easter Bunny really need to put fear in anyone's heart? I thought your job was to put chocolate in the grubby hands of fat little American children.

All children, not just the American ones. And there's more to me than that. I'm a Guardian, y'see. I protect the children of the world, too.

How can you protect them, and how can you give Easter to children who do not come from cultures that have that holiday?

There's more to me than just hiding pretty eggs. I'm a warrior.

And if they don't celebrate it, that's fine. I protect them regardless, give them hope, regardless.

How do you give them hope?

It's all in the magic really. It's sort of...in the air?

Then why do people stop believing in you?

I wish I knew. Maybe they just think they grow past things like that.

Have you ever considered how little sense that makes? If you hide the eggs, then where the hell do all the parents in your world think the eggs come from? They are not hiding them.

I try not to think about it honestly.

They could all think they're insane. I just bother myself with the children. What the adults think isn't much consequence to me.

That seems narrow-minded.

I've been told I have that problem.

I would think a giant rabbit would be the opposite.

I don't know, maybe I've lived too long. Makes a fella horribly cynical.

How splendid to have you as the harbinger of hope or whatever you are, then.

You can be cynical and hopeful at the same time, you know.

[He bitches at people then tells them to buck up. Its a great system]

That does not make sense, you know. Cynicism and hope are basically opposites.
