[Bunnymund is quite used to having Weird Things happen to him. It's just what you deal with when you become a Guardian, and you need to roll with the punches. That's not to say he wasn't worried when he woke up in an actual bedroom in a place he'd never been before. Far from it. He was VERY worried.

It didn't help that his tunnels didn't get him anywhere familiar either. Still, he's held off on panicking completely until night has come, and Paradisa's big blue moon looms high in the sky. Anyone who believes in the existence of the Easter Bunny will see a 6'1 rabbit, standing on the roof, apparently having a conversation with the moon. A very one sided conversation]

Okay. I get that you have your cryptic ways and we just need to deal with them, but I really don't understand what I'm doing here. This isn't Earth, and I thought I was needed there more than anywhere. So if you could give me a few pointers, explain what you want me to do here? She'll be apples. [Silence] Anything at all. [Silence] No? Ripper. Thanks for nothing.

[Muttering a little darkly to himself, he finally opens the journal, watching the words form into it as he speaks. They might not be able to HEAR him, but he wonders if this stupid magical book will let them see the WORDS he speaks. Okay. Speaking to the mortals. He can do this]

I've been leafing through this magical book since I rocked up in this place, and I figure I've got most of this mess figured out. But I've got an important question. Why're you talking about New Years? Is it January here? [Because if it is, well, that's his prep time sliced MORE than in half]

Yes! [She pumps a fist in the air.] I'm sure you're going to get lots of people asking to be your friend. Come on, you're the Bunny himself. Who wouldn't jump at the opportunity to see the man behind the eggs? Which, by the way, you do a great job of hiding every year. Total props to you.

Not really. It's only recently I've started trying out this talking to kids thing. [But hey, it's way better than avoiding them forever and just looking after them from afar]

Well. Then you're going to have tons of friends. Don't worry, you'll get the hang of it. I'm pretty sure it's all part of being a holiday figure. Like Santa! What a guy! I'm sure he wasn't always used to kids begging him for stuff. Can you imagine how awkward it must have been the first time some random stranger came up and sat on his lap? Now it happens all the time! Speaking of which, do you know Santa? I feel like you'd have tons of connections. What about other holiday bros, like Cupid? Or... or others that I'll have to think about because their names aren't coming to me right now? Is there a secret society for holiday peeps? Is there a word for what you do? And hey, while we're here, do you actually lay the eggs? Because I had a long discussion with Candy about this once where she said you didn't but I once saw a commercial for Cadbury eggs that made me reconsider my stance on the matter.

[Wow, that was a lot of words to take in one sitting]

Yeah, I know him, but we call him North. [He'll be nice and not mention that her beloved Santa is kind of a risk taking ass. Because you know, that's never an easy subject to breach] And I do. We all exist, after all, someone's got to do the jobs. And there's no secret society, though some of us are chosen for a...err higher purpose.

[Oh man AGAIN? Bunny sighs. He's seriously considering making a PSA] No I don't lay the eggs. They come from flowers I create. Aaaand I wouldn't pay a whole lot of attention to commercials, they're usually dead set wrong.

[Darn! Now she has to concede that Candy was right.]

I guess that'd be really awkward having to lay that many eggs every year. Then there's the question of how they'd even turn chocolate. You'd think an egg-laying bunny would just lay eggs that hatch into more bunnies. Plus, you're clearly a male bunny.

So why do they call him North? Oh! Is it a play on words? You know, because he lives at the North pole?

...Something like that, yeah. [Going to subtly move off that subject because yes lets not talk about my extinct species doop doop]

It's his name, before he became Santa, he was Nicolas St. North. We all had lives, y'see, before we became what everyone knows us for.

[Have a very large gasp at that]

Really? What was your life like?

[Woop woop and now it's time to play the avoidance game. Don't tell kids about the slaughter of all the Easter Bunnies nope]

I mostly kept to myself.

Well that's going to change. It's literally impossible to keep to yourself here. The journal is really good at [and she makes airquotes] "accidentally" opening itself up at just the right time. Also, everyone here is a total busybody. Seriously! They wanna know everybody's business. The more you hide, the more they pull you out of hiding.

Besides. Everyone's going to want to be your friend.

[He chuckles]

Sounds like someone I already have to deal with back home. I'm used to being dragged out now, I haven't been allowed to be alone proper for centuries.

Free chocolate, right?

What? No! I mean, okay, yes, the free chocolate is great, too. But just you being you is enough to be a total friend magnet.

[Wow, that's so amusing]

Would you believe once upon a time I was no good at that at all?

[Probably still isn't really. Kids are fine, they're EASY. It's everyone else he struggles with]

[She gives him a shove.]

Get outta here! Really?

[He chuckles a little]

No, really. I spent a very long time by myself. Hundred of years.

Hundreds of years? And you didn't think to, I don't know, try to hang out with anyone?

I didn't want to hang out with anyone. I thought I was happy by myself.

[This is such a depressing thing to learn about the Easter Bunny. Still, Mabel presses on!]

But now you're cool, right? No more going it alone?

[Maybe one day, Mabel, he'll tell you about how the Tooth fairy's parents were murdered by an angry mob. Guardians have the BEST stories]

No more going it alone, no. I've got me a team who won't let me do that.

That's the spirit!

[There's a chill wind that passes by, and Mabel shivers even through her sweater.]

I know you're probably fine since you've got fur and all, but I'm fuh-reezing out here. Wanna head inside?

[Poor kid, he moves a little closer so at least she has a giant furry bunny-shaped wind breaker]

Trust me, I like the cold about as much as anyone else. I'm a spirit of spring. Lets get inside.

Great!

[She reaches out for his hand so she can guide him inside.]

We'll drink something warm in the kitchen. Which, by the way, is always fully stocked. One of the perks of this place. It's on the first floor.

[He'll smile, taking her hand in his giant effing paw]

That's handy, least none of you will ever go hungry.

[She'll lead him inside for some quality hot chocolate, and continue to talk to him about some of little things to know about the castle. He's likely to get a crash course in the main stuff, so she finds it's better to talk about the lesser known stuff. Locations, an odd castle-wide event, and the like.

Needless to say, they're on their way to a beautiful friendship.]
