I find it difficult to grasp the notion that none noticed by absence. Truly, I am horrified still at what transgressed, having had to depend on a strange but noble woman for escort, only to return and find none the wiser.

This must cease. This... This mockery of a castle is nothing more than a small child dressing itself up in empty purpose. Any fey who might try such nonsense on me again will rue it. Think you that I am the weaker for not having my lord husband at my side? That is a dangerous mistake to make.

Most people are just worsening her mood, anyway, and she'd rather shut them out for now. ]

[She'll close her journal, putting it away before approaching Anne and stopping a few feet from her. This is how they did it in the movies, right? She probably doesn't have to keep too much of a distance, considering they were travelling through the unknown together.]

I am not of good cheer, but it will pass in time.

[ She tilts her head at Kalinda, wondering if she should tell her about how she should always bow before royalty. But right now she feels so tired from everybody wanting to claw out her dreams and ambitions, then she lets it be pushed aside for now.

Instead she motions for Kalinda to sit in the smaller chair just near, across from the low table. ]

Daring Kalinda, I would ask of your counsel on a matter.

[And sit she does, sitting (and feeling) as though she is in some sort of important interview. Maybe she should sit like she would around Diane? Which isn't really any different to be honest, but at least one requires far less thought behind it. At least she got over Diane being overbearingly pressing with her matters. Around an actual queen though, she's more likely to be micromanaged, isn't she? Damn. Well, at least it's a job to do.]
