[She writes that down, then opts to dictate a bit more.]
I figured with Max and Sam leaving, and the general lack of staffing I usually have, maybe someone made a resolution to get a job this year. [She still sounds a bit disconnected from it all. The thought that she's been there for three years, that Sam and Max are gone, that Neal has left. Everything doesn't seem quite like the anniversary she thought she'd have.]
The Lux is a wish-free environment as long as there are actual people working there. What the ghosts do or you do when we're technically closed, I can't control, but if you order from one of my employees it's all from local suppliers and farms in town. Most of our alcohol was taken by those looters, but I've been slowly but surely restocking with contacts in the city. It'll probably never be quite what it was when Eliot was running it, but I'm more concerned with not wishing for inventory than anything else.
I offer good pay, plus tips and you can make your own schedule. Same goes for the art gallery - except there are no tips involved there. Also no food or alcohol. Just... art. [a beat] Which residents can provide.

She's not quite sure what to respond when the notice appears in the journal. She reads it—and pounces on it. ]
I can work! I can do it! I used to work for Sam! I was really good! I was always on time and I did everything I had to and I clean really good! I used to serve the knights and the lords during dinner too!

That's a lot of enthusiasm for working in a bar, Arya.

Actually, I could use some help at the gallery.
I know it's not the same, but I have two dogs and I can't stop in the middle of my day to go and let them out. If you wanted to keep an eye on the gallery, I would also pay you to watch my dogs.
It would be very easy money. [Because, seriously, all you do is sit around the gallery and play with her dogs. Plus, Steve cooks sometimes!]

[ There's a catch, right. Those are vicious mastiffs, aren't they. ]
arya ]
And yes, you'd be with my two dogs all day. Chase [The dog, yes, his name is the same as her boyfriend - what of it.] is a small terrier mix... he's mostly a scruffy looking dog, and then there is Penny and she's a Dalmatian.
jo ]
I can do that.

Experience isn't needed, it's definitely something that can be taught.

Fantastic. In that case, Spartan Paul DeMarco, at your service.

From Sparta? [Suddenly imagining a guy in a loincloth carrying a spear coming to work.]

[
not that DeMarco is the epitome of a proper Spartan]no subject
[Anyway.] If you wanna come down to the Lux and take a look around, I can give you a tour before you fully commit.

Sure thing, be there in ten. [After the early struggle to get out of his armor after the first couple days, he hasn't bothered trying to get it back on, and therefore is at his leisure to show up in castle-wished clothes, pressed slacks and a crisp button-down shirt in understated colors. It's an attempt to not stick out anymore then he does at nearly 7'. He wanders in, hands in his pockets, looking around with a smile.]
