Lesson 1

[They finally had a plan, they had a plan and a way to do things and now he was here. Some place far away from where he had just been and he's really not sure how it happened considering he had just been in Tsuna's house not that long ago. But he's also not one to panic, and with a tug of his hat over his eyes and after gathering up the journal (as it was the only book there) he sets off to look around, eventually finding himself in the kitchen.

Where he promptly hops up onto the counter and makes himself a cup of coffee, journal open nearby as he reads it some before saying out loud something.]

Tsuna, what have you done this time?

[Which coming from someone who sounds like a two year old, well, it's a little weird.

Anyway there's a two year old drinking coffee in the kitchen as he figures things out, dressed in a fancy suit and fedora with a green chameleon on his hat. Eventually he'll just go and look for Tsuna, but for now he's enjoying his cup of coffee.]

[There is a green haired woman wandering in for her daily cup of tea, and she sees the infant (or maybe a small person?) sitting on the counter drinking coffee. She headtilts at him.]

...Do you always sit on counters and drink coffee? As I haven't seen you around before.

[It's always hit or miss, in this place, if the kids see him or not. Still, Bunny will be eyeballing this weird kid]

You sure you should be drinking that, ankle biter?

[Either or really, but he is just sitting there drinking coffee when she comes in and he looks up at her, Leon staring at her as well.]

I only just got here. [Which should explain that, right?]

[Sadly Reborn's not really a kid, but a cursed adult. So he can't see him and he just takes another sip of his coffee.

Leon can though, and he carefully moves around the brim of Reborn's fedora to stare at him with large, yellow eyes.]

So you came in and made a cup of coffee? [A bit of an incredulous look, but then again, he doesn't sound like a regular child at all. Stranger things have happened here, and in Aselia. So she smiles at him and goes to get out a cup.]

...Sounds like a good thing as any to do when you find yourself trapped here. Welcome to Paradisa. [A pause.] ...Would you like the long explanation or the short explanation?

Actually I was looking for my no good student and couldn't find him. [And so then he went and made a cup of coffee. His priorities, he has them. Tsuna will show up, he doesn't doubt it and if he doesn't then he'll just go and fix it, by kicking him in the head, really his life his hard.]

Thank you. [And a sip of coffee as Leon readjusts himself on his fedora.] And the long explanation please. [And then he casually just, shuffles over some if she wants to join him on the counter, even as he tugs on his hat at that news. Trapped, here?] Especially about being trapped.

...Your no-good student? [A pause at that, and then she shrugs, putting some water on to boil in a kettle, setting her teacup on the counter.] He may not be here, you know.

[A gentle smile, because she noticed that, and she goes over and hops up on the counter next to him. The smile fades, though, and she grows serious.] Yes. We're all trapped here. This castle is magic, and we're pretty sure it's alive. It brings us here from different worlds, different times and we cannot escape it. Well, until it sends us back.

[You don't understand, Martel. Tsuna always gets into trouble before he does, he's obviously here :|] Oh I doubt that, I wouldn't be here if he wasn't. Someone has to keep him in line. [Reborn this is not how you show you have faith in him.

But then he just looks up at her better as she sits with him, not showing anything at all except to tug at his hat at that news. Magic. And different times to boot. He thought he had gotten through all of that, it's rather well, annoying to find out he hasn't.

And yet he's oddly calm throughout all of this.] And it does that when we want it, or when it decides it's done with us?

[A little quirk of a smile and a headtilt. He was a rather strange person... But then again, he'd also been nothing but polite to her.] The castle doesn't take people based on that, I don't think. But then again, people who know each other have a habit of showing up. Tell me his name, and maybe I have heard of him.

...Ah, we are its fuel. Our souls and emotions. We think it sends people back when it can't use them as fuel anymore, but we aren't entirely sure.

[A lizard. Great. Helpful]

...I'm guessing you're not from one of those worlds where I exist. [Because what 'little kid' wouldn't believe in him otherwise? HAH]

[He has no reason not to be polite to her, she's treated him normally and well, didn't try and take his coffee away. She's totally okay in his book so far. But that just prompts another sip of coffee before answering.] Tsunayoshi Sawada. [He's totally watching her to see what she makes of that.

But at that news about what the castle does he pulls his hat down over his eyes more, head tilting down, which causes Leon to climb up more on top of it, his hand tightening on his coffee mug. Oh so it's from one person who wants to use him like that to a castle.] Why let them leave while still alive if it can feed like that? [Though there's no sign of his irritation at this turn of events in his voice, it's still calm.]

[Leon is the most helpful.

Because when Reborn feels him shift around to stare at Bunny better, he pulls out his pistol. He hadn't heard or seen anything, but that doesn't mean it's not one of Verde's tricks or something.

And he's totally firing at the height of a normal persons head :x Sorry, Bunny.]

Whose there?

You are a friend of Tsuna's?

_{[Because that is the obvious thing to lock onto here.]}

[Well, of course she didn't take his coffee away. And anyway, it's quite obvious now, if it hadn't been before, that he is not a normal child. If he can make coffee, then he can keep it.] ...Tsunayoshi... [A blink.] Tsuna? That's his full name? [And then...oh!] You're his tutor that he told me about!

And why does a magic castle do anything that it does? As far as we can tell, it returns them exactly the way they were to their world and time exactly when they left. [A pause.] It can also bring those that are dead in their world to life and bring them here. When they leave, they of course go back to being dead. [She should know, she is one of the dead people inhabiting this castle.]

_{[The six-foot elf-like king was walking into the kitchen, intent on getting himself cocoa and something warm to eat. What? He liked sweets and being warm, and the kitchen was a warm place in and of itself.

He paused, though, when he spotted a... child? Child, yes - child sitting on the counter, drinking coffee, and apparently speaking like a full grown adult. This might have been stranger if he had not just met Frodo a few days ago, but still...]}

I feel as if I should be more concerned about this particular scenario, but Paradisa seems to have... deadened my sensitivity to such matters.

_{[And it was true, it had. Seriously. This was... mundane, compared to anything else.]}

[Friend? No. Nope, not his friend :x]

I'm his home tutor. [YUP.]

[Oh hey that name catches his attention!]

Tsuna?

[Best friend, Martel *^* Tsuna would have pitched a fit by now over this, but hey someone who knows Tsuna! He just nods and yeah, there's no smile yet, sorry Martel.] Yes, I am! Ciaosu, I'm Reborn. [Okay if you know Tsuna, you can have his name.] And I'm Tsuna's home tutor.

[This is so true, and well he can dream, can't he? But all this means he'll just go back and have to fight Checker Face with Tsuna's plan, and well, that would be interesting. But if she's mentioning that, then...] Living on borrowed time, at least those you care for can see you and enjoy having you again for a time. [And that, well, that just gives him feelings and he's going to try and avoid that for now, thanks.]

[He's totally just sitting there on the counter yet, staring at the six foot tall elf, sipping at his coffee. Well, you know, he's in a dapper suit and fedora with a pet chameleon, this is totally normal.]

And why should you be concerned?

[There's only two ways this could happen 1) an invisible enemy 2) the book.

Considering Leon is probably ready to fall asleep on his hat, he's banking on 2. So he casually looks at the journal and talks.]

He's my no-good student. [YUP.]

Seriously? [Well no-good is a good descripter. But just in case somehow in some crazy world it's a common name]

You mean Tsunayoshi Sawada?

[...Yes he knows his full name /staaaalker]

Home tutor? So you teach him letters and histories and such?

_{[He cannot see you are a baby, so for now this makes total and complete sense.]}

[It's a pretty normal day, as far as days in Paradisa go. Tsuna's just heading into the kitchen, intending on grabbing himself a snack. At first, he doesn't see Reborn as he goes straight for the pantry, searching through it before a grabbing a bag of potato chips with a small, triumphant noise.

And then he turns around and looks up, and he sees Reborn.]

Oh, hi, Reborn.

[Pulls open his bag of chips--

Looks up at Reborn again.

Stares.

Actually he's in so much shock that the bag just slips out of his hands and falls to the ground.]

Re..born...?

[WELP]

For one, you look hardly older than a babe, and secondly - the odd things in this castle tend to have a hidden purpose that proves less than delightful for the residents.

[Her teakettle whistles just then, and she gets up to get it, but not before turning and nodding her head at him.] Pleased to meet you, Reborn! I am Martel Yggdrasill. Tsuna has told me some about you. [Not much, but enough.

She goes and takes the hot water off the stove and pours it into her teacup over the leaves. While she is doing that, she is thinking of a response.] Mm, yes, that is true. But everything must come to an eventual end. [The dead should stay dead. But that is depressing, so she turns around back to him with her teacup and a small smile.] But that's neither here nor there. I was telling you about things here, wasn't I?
