Wonderland: Day One

The residents of Paradisa who ventured into the lobby on the 13th would find something new there; a mirror spanning an entire wall. Given recent happenings, who can blame them if they're cautious? Trouble is, this mirror seems to really want to bring people in, because you don't have to get too close before you're through the looking glass.

Once you've gone, you may find that you're not quite yourself.

[Notes/Reminders: Type 1 and Type 2 characters will believe they are Wonderland natives. All characters, including those not entering Wonderland, will be able to use their journals; Wonderland "natives" will think it is a communication device exclusive to Wonderland, although communication between Paradisa and Wonderland through the journals is absolutely possible. You may NPC any number of Tulgey Wood creatures, except for the Jabberwocky.]

Don't placate me love, I won't have it. Really the incompetence is staggering. I'm only killing them for their own good! Can you even imagine what life would be like if I allowed all the fools to run around alive all the time? Chaos! Utter Chaos! I shan't have it!

[impetuous]

No, you're absolutely right, my dear. It would be terrible. And it's certainly done wonders for morale.

[teratologist]

You're being cheeky, [She wagged a finger at him playfully] Let us not forget Wonderland demands an iron leader. We must be always vigilant and strive for our best. If everyone was allowed to just get by well...it would be a shambles.

Do you think it will be a good afternoon for croquet? I think I rather fancy a game.

[impetuous]

Oh, I should think so. I think the court will be most pleased with a game. And you can see your new rose bushes.

[teratologist]

My red roses? Oh, the suits told me they weren't yet in bloom. What a lovely surprise!

[impetuous]

They looked quite red from the windows, my dear. We can make it a garden-viewing party if it please you.

[teratologist]

It would please me, very much. [She beamed at her husband, there were some days she was so happy and pleased she'd never had him executed.]

[impetuous]

I shall tell the suits to prepare. [ He kisses the back of her hand. ] My queen.

[teratologist]

What would I do without you, my love? [quickly her hand turned after the kiss to stroke fingers tenderly down his cheek and jaw. He was really so useful.]

[impetuous]

I believe it is I who would be naught without you.

[teratologist]

Quite right, of course. But still, you are a fitting King and an excellent croquet partner.

[impetuous]

[ He bows. ]

I'm grateful you think so. I'll go get a move on, shall I?

[teratologist]

Yes, do toddle off and make things ready, dear.
