Wonderland: Day One

[wonderlandian]

The residents of Paradisa who ventured into the lobby on the 13th would find something new there; a mirror spanning an entire wall. Given recent happenings, who can blame them if they're cautious? Trouble is, this mirror seems to really want to bring people in, because you don't have to get too close before you're through the looking glass.

Once you've gone, you may find that you're not quite yourself.

[Notes/Reminders: Type 1 and Type 2 characters will believe they are Wonderland natives. All characters, including those not entering Wonderland, will be able to use their journals; Wonderland "natives" will think it is a communication device exclusive to Wonderland, although communication between Paradisa and Wonderland through the journals is absolutely possible. You may NPC any number of Tulgey Wood creatures, except for the Jabberwocky.]

[ Arya will just be making their beds. You people, well, lady and rabbit decide. ]

No smoke? [ Oh dear Rabbit, she is looking at you like you're crazy (haha). ]

How?

Magic.

[Yeah, because that's not a vague reply at all. He'll just be setting up a fire, rubbing two sticks together because lol he can't just MAKE fire happen]

You all need to come up with better explanations.

[ Arya glares at them both. ]

Just because it's magic doesn't mean there shouldn't be a proper explanation!

[scinlae]

[ Morgana snorts. Magic, of course. It only takes her a few seconds before her eyes flash gold, yeah she can MAKE fire happen. It is a small flame, nothing that will do him any damage but enough to start the fire itself. ]

[thatrabbitsdynamite]

Okay. It's nature magic.

[He jumps back a little as the fire sparks to life, freezing for a second, before glancing over at Morgana, arching an eyebrow]

Nice trick. [And, as promised, the smoke vanishes, as if it's not even there]

[wolfchild]

[ Dryly: ] It's not a trick. It's magic.

[scinlae]

[ And she manages a grin, despite the dryness of Arya's comment. ]

I'm a sorceress, magic flows through my veins as freely as blood.

[He gives her an appreciative smile]

It's always a helpful thing to have.

How does this look?

[ LOOK A HER AMAZING EXCUSE FOR A BED. At least before she flops on top of it. She makes a face and sits up. ]

It's a bit scratchy.

[scinlae]

[ She's looking she's looking! ]

It looks wonderful. [ Goddess knows she has slept in worse. ]

A shame we do not have blankets, or a cloak to help elevate that.

[Wow, that's an amazingly crappy bed, but Bunny's had worse, too]

Wonder if there's any in that castle...

[Pondering going there and you know, BEING MURDERED]

[ Arya takes off her shoe and throws it at him. ]

Don't be stupid. [ She knows that expression. B( If anyone is going to try to break into the castle for blankets, it'll be her. ] Didn't you hear all the talk of the Queen being mad?

[scinlae]

[ WOW ARYA. ]

It matters little, this entire realm is mad. [ Including herself, but the ground beneath her feet feels more stable now and the phantoms... well their voices are less piercing, their faces barely showing themselves.

This sweet rabbit and wild wolf have helped her more than they know. ]

But wouldn't he be safe? Only those who believe in sweet Sir Rabbit can see him after all.

[thatrabbitsdynamite]

[Always so violent, he mildly ducks it]

So I've noticed.

[Then he gives Ayra a smile]

See? Most everyone in that place won't see me, and besides, I'm a Guardian. I've faced a lot worse than a castle full of fruit loops. And if I run into any trouble at all, I've got my tunnels to escape into.

[wolfchild]

And if they can? Nothing here makes sense. It's not worth it for something so stupid as blankets.

[ Food? Worth it. Blankets? Would be really nice, but not worth it. ]

[scinlae]

[ Morgana shrugs, moving over to the makeshift bed in order to sit on it.

IT'S THE RABBIT'S DECISION IN THE END, it's not like either of them can stop him if he really wants to go. ]

[thatrabbitsdynamite]

[He'll cats Arya a worried look, before sighing, moving to settle by the fire]

If you're sure, little brumby. [He'll stick to here, if it'd worry her. Or risk her doing...something Arya-like and running off after him]

[wolfchild]

[ Smart. Because she would so run after him. You'd need to bring back the Arya burrito to have any hope of not having her run after her rabbit.

A strange feeling of relief fills her. She goes to join him by it. Once seated, she takes off her other shoe and tosses it aside. She wiggles her bare toes. Feeling silly, Arya bends forward and cranes her head so she can look at him upside-down. She grins. ]

[scinlae]

[ For the moment Morgana lingers where she is, watching them with a gaze that seems to be everywhere but here. Her mind wanders and she inhales sharply, hugging her knees to her chest. ]

[thatrabbitsdynamite]

[He chuckles softly at Arya, moving to lie by the fire on his stomach, he does cast Morgana a questioning look. One with maybe even a touch of concern]

You okay?

[wolfchild]

[ arya looks over at the question.

morgananana why are you all alone over there ]

[scinlae]

[ She opens her mouth, only to close it again considering her words. Is she okay? In truth she has no idea, Wonderland has tipped her mind on itself and she is still shifting through the pieces. ]

I cannot tell.

[thatrabbitsdynamite]

[He watches her, considering]

Well, there's always time to work that out for yourself. It can't be rushed.

We'll get back soon. [ Castle may not be better, but at least she's more confident in telling apart plant from animal there. ]
