[When the journal opens, there are drops of water that drip down on the page. They are erratic, so it is not rain. The faint smell of salt comes from them, and when the shaky writing appears ... well, you can only assume they are tears. Because they are.]

Peeta is ... gone. He's gone ... home.

[There are more spatters on the page, and then a shaky breath.]

Peeta is gone, and there's a mirror here in the front hall. Since I don't have anything left to lose, I figured I'd just go through it. And if I die? All the better.

[There's the angry wiping of her eyes.] I don't care anymore, do you understand? You took the boy I loved, and I don't care what happens to me now. So you can go to Hell, Castle. Straight to Hell.

[She breaths out.] See you on the other side.

Because we care? You're grieving and angry and sound like you have a death wish. The last thing you need right now is to be alone.

Not a chance Katniss. I am either coming with you or coming after you.

Well apparently no one is dead on the other side. It's just weird.

[Which is disappointing, but it doesn't make Hermione and the others any less stuck.]

Now I have to make sure our friends get out in one piece.

Paradisa? Weird? What else is new?

[Dairine is relieved to hear that no one has died though. Means they can save them.]

All right. I'll grab some supplies, and meet you down there.

Dairine, we need someone on this side to figure out how to get everyone back. That means we need the smart people? Here.

[Because goddamnit she is not going to have ALL of her friends on the bad side of the mirror. She's self-destructive, not all-around.]

Yes. And luckily we have plenty of smart people here, so we can afford to have one or two check out the other side.

[No luck. Dairine has made up her mind, and she is not gonna change it.]

[She's cursing in her head, but she shakes her head.]

Your choice.

[Damn straight. If Katniss is going, Dairine is too.]

You bet it is. See you in the lobby!

[And no matter how quickly Katniss tries to get to the lobby, she will still find Dairine sitting there, waiting for her. Wizards.]

[Katniss has to finish having her fight with Steve, first, before she turns to Dairine. She glowers at her, then sighs.]

You coming?

[And Dairine grins that slightly irritating grin she does when Dari knows she's got the upperhand. Then hops off of the couch.]

Ready whenever you are.

[Katniss glowers at her in that way that says 'I cannot figure out how to get rid of you so I will deal with you later'. Honestly, just like Peeta ...]

[She was not going to think of that now.]

Right. Let's go.

[And she walked towards the mirror, without looking back.]

[Dairine is used to that kind of look, thanks to her big sister, so it doesn't bother her. Instead, she smiles back in away that says, 'You will never be rid of me. Get used to it.'

Dairine nods and then follows her.]

[Oh good god... she glowered again, before she moved through the hedges, keeping away from the noises of people moving around.]

[Dairine walks closely behind, somewhat intrigued by the sudden transition. Was the mirror actually a worldgate? It certainly seemed like one.

If that was the case, maybe she could get them back to the castle proper, if need be.]

[And now ... they move to Wonderland.]
