Good. I got soda, sports drinks, beer, and vodka. Should probably hold off on the vodka until you're done, though.

[He grabs two beers from the fridge and pops the caps, then hands one to her. York sits back in a chair and starts munching on his chips.]

[South isn't really surprised by the question, thought it irritates her.]

Fine. Hungover. I don't know exactly what Crowley made but I had a few of them. [Trying to steer the conversation away from North, even if that's not where it was headed in the first place.]

[York smiles, though there's a bitter twist to it. If things had gone otherwise, he could have been friends with Crowley. Kind of too bad, really.]

He does know his booze. Just remember you have the rest of us, too, if you need some space.

Yeah, but you all know. [It's something to be able to hang out with someone and not wonder if they're secretly thinking she was going to turn on them at some point or not.] He doesn't know me as the twin and I kind of like that.

[She's attacking that beef jerky with a fervor now. Angry chewing, get.]

Yeah, well, even the people who don't know me from home still know me as the dead guy, so. I guess I don't see it as much of an issue anymore.

[He munches on a chip thoughtfully.]

That is something about this place, you know. People judge you based on you, not on who you were somewhere else.

[She didn't really know what people honestly thought of her; it was never really a concern, until now, when she was in danger of being paired up again with North.]

No, not really. You know, if anything, they're going to be looking at him first and judging him based on you, not the other way around. You were here first.

Besides, you don't have to do everything together. I bet there'll be plenty of people who only know one or the other of you anyway.

[She looks at him, considering his words, and then pulls open a bag of cookies.]

Well, he is pretty tall, so maybe a giraffe. But then, I always thought his personality was more of a big dog type. Like a sheepdog. Maybe a golden retriever.

[Something that keeps all the herd animals in line and is good with kids.]

Actually, he was an alien. Maine fed him dog food because--I don't know, Wash was too traumatized to live on shakes or something. No idea why he actually ate it instead of wishing for a goddamn hamburger.

Last time I remember him turning into an animal, he was a poison dart frog.
