ℙ the twenty first;
[Anyone listening over the journal will possibly hear the wooden snap of clothespins being popped off of the line and a light slosh of water in what may or may not be a sink or basin. Water might splatter onto the page of the journal, since Katherine actually doesn't want to sit around and watch clothing dry.]
Cleaning out a closet and finding shopping bags from Paris, from Christmas last year, that had never even been opened and put away - at least it gave me something to do today.
[Considering Katherine spent nearly her last six months in the castle dealing with corsets and bloomers -- it's no wonder that she didn't dig deep into that closet earlier.]
I will say, hand-washing is the most tedious task to do. [She says this as she hangs up another camisole top onto the line in the laundry room. The laundry room which now has a pile of discarded paper shopping bags and boxes, with colored tissue papers and ribbons all on the floor at her feet. The laundry room where the available lines are strung up with lace bras and frilly things that one would buy in Paris if they had the ability to compel anyone and everyone that was working retail there. The laundry room where anyone is welcome to come and be frustrated that she's taken up all that space.]
Damon ]
I think you need to refresh your definition of "waiting long".
Ezio ]
I finally figured out what to get you for Christmas.

Right. Nothing.
[And then he opens his arms and gestures for her to come here for a hug.]

Still, she hugs him, taking in a heavy breath. Katherine is not a hugger. She's never been one to be so vulnerable either, but the trust she has with Ezio is a rare thing and maybe it's because of the shared piece of a timeline or that she thinks he understands just how difficult it is to actually allow things to just happen.]
I've been running for five hundred years. [She never thought she'd have the time to just stop.]
no subject
Are you not tired of it?
no subject
Honestly, I think I could run forever sometimes. [She exhales softly.] I'm okay with stopping though.

Except getting hurt, but I think I can survive that. [She sighs.] This wasn't why I came here, but thank you.
no subject
[He chuckles, lightheartedly.]
You came here to dress me and take my picture, didn't you?
no subject
I did, indeed.
no subject
We can return to it when you are ready.
no subject
Well if you're ready we can snap that first picture and I can enjoy my wine while you change shirts about five times. [She grins.] It'll definitely be a lovely view.

[He gestures at himself... modern clothes and all.]
no subject
God, you are always so attractive. [ANYWAY... camera gets picked up and she gestures for him to stand where there is adequate light. She doesn't want to have to use the flash every time. That would be blinding and annoying.
CHEESE! Okay, not really, but she snaps the first one and lays the print that spits out the front down.]
Alright, we'll just swap shirts. That whole small pile can go with those pants.
no subject
Why, thank you, dolcezza!
no subject
I'm sure you never get tired of compliments. [With the shirt changed, she gestures for him to stand still, snaps the pic, and lines it up next to the other one - waving her hand for him to swap to the next shirt.]
no subject
[changing again]

Haven't you heard it all, by now?

The modern vernacular I'm sure has plenty new things to offer.

Definitely showing the versatility of the shirt.

[But he stops, because he doesn't doubt he'll have lady friends seeing this book in the future.]
no subject
You'll have to give that one to Lana. I'm sure she'll pin it in her locker door.
