Wonderland: Day Three: Activities

[As life in Wonderland continues, today brings two extra odd events:

First of all, on the beach, there is a group of beings running around in a circle. If you ask one of them what they're doing, they will tell you they are participating in the Caucus Race to get dry. If you happen to ask one of them when they'll be done, they will just look utterly baffled and then keep running.

Meanwhile, the Mad Tea Party continues. Rather long for a tea party, but Time isn't cooperating for it. There are plenty of seats around the table, and plenty of kettles of tea atop it.]

Caucus Race

[There is what can only be described as a demon watching the race from atop a wall, his tail twitching idly as it hangs down behind him and wings tucked neatly back.]

[Danny lands on that same wall and watches for a moment.]

...Are they seriously running around in circles?

[madetosin]

[He cocks his head at Danny]

Of course. Better than running in a square.

...How can you run in a square?

[madetosin]

My point exactly.

Not much of a point.

[madetosin]

Well, there would be four, wouldn't there?

[He idly taps a claw against one his horns]

Turning corners would throw everything off.

Not if you took them slow enough.

[madetosin]

It wouldn't be much of a race if everyone went slow.

[schrodingersghost]

It isn't much of a race now.

[madetosin]

You are awfully critical for a spectator.

Everyone hates a critic.

The Mad Tea Party

[Conan sees the tea party in full swing, and makes the logical decision to do his best to avoid it. Very quietly, he attempts to walk past without anyone noticing his presence.]

[Unfortunately for Conan, the Hatter catches sight of him, and stands on her chair to call out:] Oh! Boy! Aren't you going to come to tea? It would be rude to pass it up, you know!

[Oh, great. Caught. He musters up an innocent smile.]

But it looks like you have lots of people already! Are you sure you'll have enough?

[The Tweedles are in attendance today of course. What person of good manners wouldn't be, after all. They are dressed identically in jackets of gold brocade over a white silk vest and deep red trousers, their white cravats fastened with a bright green jewel pin. They side by side, legs crossed in mirror to each other under the table. Tweedle Dee has his red hair gathered with a gold ribbon and tossed over his right shoulder. Tweedle Dum his his black hair tied with red and thrown over the left. They hook arms calmly and lift their cups to take a delicate sip of their tea]

Mmmmm...very good tea today.

Very good tea indeed. One might go so far as to call it excellent, even.

[When the Hatter sees the uncertain newcomer, she breaks into a grin and waves him over.]

Come, come! Plenty of room for more!

Well then, don't mind if I do! [that was quick as he jumps over]

[he yawns, snuggling back on the table. Being a mousee, he is hard to see sometimes]

[he's considerate enough to make sure the next place isn't taken by a singing cricket or whatever]

[Sugar was following a delicious smell and finds herself at a lively tea party. Wow, this looks like fun!]
