[Sitting at the kitchen table, she is leafing through the two journals beside her with one hand. On the other, she holds her newly recovered cell phone to which she is quickly adding information. She has been here a while if the half-eaten plate of food next to her and quarter gone bottle of wine is any indication. If anyone were to peek over her shoulder, they would discover notes about things such as restaurants and clothing. Only Mycroft and perhaps Sherlock know the code she's using to encrypt the information and could read what she's really typing.]

[ Mycroft Holmes ]
I've found a charming restaurant in town if you care to eat out tonight, sir.

[Excuse the 7'4" armoured supersoldier ducking into the kitchen and wandering over to the fridge.

He merely nods at the woman at the table as he passes.]

[notanthea]

[The only response from her is a quick once-over and a polite smile before she mentally dismisses him in favor of continuing what she was working on.]

[And, so, the SPARTAN works on preparing himself a sandwich, before turning to pull a chair ou-]

Ah...

[He has his hand on the back of a chair, and realises that it probably couldn't take his weight.]

Uh... [He looks to Anthea.] Sorry for disturbing you, ma'am, but do you know how much weight these can hold?

[notanthea]

[She glances up but briefly.] Sorry, no.

[noblefive]

[Well, better be safe than sorry!

Jorge sets his plate down before reaching up and removing his helmet, obviously to eat. He sets that under the table and moves a few chairs out of the way, before squatting down to start eating.]

[notanthea]

[All right. That? Amusing. Very much so. She has enough control to not laugh at his face, but she's still mirthful.]

There is a sturdy enough floor.

You ever tried to stand up wearing half a ton of armour, ma'am? It's not easy

[Well, it is with this armour on this person, but he's trying not to look silly.]

[notanthea]

No.

[She answers his question, a tiny smile playing about her face.]

[noblefive]

[Well, less silly, in any case]

Thanks for the suggestion, though. I might think about wishing up a SPARTAN-proof chair for the future.

[notanthea]

Mm.

[She turns another page and takes a sip of her wine. As the glass almost empty, she picks up the bottle and tips the liquid into it.]

[And, then there's a flare of white light, and the appearance of orbs before they merge into the form of Cole Turner. He's holding a glass in his hand, turning to run it under the tap]

[notanthea]

[She blinks at the sudden light. That's...interesting. She frowns momentarily in confusion before shaking her head slightly. Supposedly, the castle is magical and sentient to some degree. Magical inhabitants are completely plausible in this shared delusion of theirs. Just in case, however, she'll push the glass of wine closer to the bottle and further from her.]

[And Cole looks up at the sound of that bottle being moved]

Oh, sorry, did I shock you?

[Orbing attracts more attention than shimmering.]

[notanthea]

[She smiles.]

Not at all.

[She continues texting one-handed.]

[demontobeloved]

Good. I realise that teleporting isn't what some mortals are used to.

[He shrugs, pulling the glass out, filled with water.]

But I was feeling lazy.

[notanthea]

Hm.

[She continues what she was doing.]

[modernholmes]

[Conan slips into the kitchen in hopes of getting some coffee without Ran finding out. She had the strangest ideas about strong black coffee being bad for small children. He casts a curious glance at the woman by the table before seizing a chair and beginning to push it toward the cabinets.]

[notanthea]

[Oh, children. She'd heard of children being here. He reminds her a bit of her nephew whom she rarely saw even when she wasn't being abducted by magic castles. It's probably why she stops looking through the journal for the moment.]

Need a hand?

[modernholmes]

[He conceals his irritation at the need for the question behind bright childishness.]

That's okay. I can do this myself.

[notanthea]

All right.

[She takes a sip from her glass as she continues inputing data. If he falls, well, childhood is all about bumps and bruises. Hopefully, a parent will be nearby to deal with the consequences.]

[modernholmes]

[He continues pushing the chair over to the counter. Then clambers up on top of the counter and stands on the tips of his toes as he pulls the cabinet door open.

...It was really a pain being three feet tall sometimes. A year ago he could have done this easily.]

[notanthea]

[Oh yes, the pains of being short in a world designed for an average-sized human. She hasn't encountered those often. She flips a few pages, coming upon another entry that may be useful. She begins encoding the relevant pieces into her phone, hardly paying Conan attention.]

[modernholmes]

[He hops up, grabbing onto and hanging onto the shelf with one hand long enough to grab a coffee mug. Then he's dropping back down to the counter and making his way toward the coffeemaker. A few seconds later he's back on the floor with a full cup. Conan drags the chair back over to the table.]

[notanthea]

[She doesn't look up; she merely reaches out to grab the bottle in case the kid knocks the chair against the table. She does not need wine all over her journal.]

[modernholmes]

[With all the gymnastics over with he finally sits down at the table with his cup.]

[notanthea]

[So caffeine powers small children. That explains a lot. She pulls her things a little closer to her in case of a mess.]

Should you be drinking that so late?

[modernholmes]

Don't worry about it. I'll be fine.

[notanthea]

[She stifles a snicker. There is the subtlest of inflections on the word "you" when she answers.] Yes, you will.

[modernholmes]

[He gives her an unamused look.] In a cup of coffee this size there should be 100 mg of caffeine. Many sodas that are given to children have 50 mg or more, and they often consume more than that.

[notanthea]

[So used to the Holmes family, she doesn't even blink. She glances up from her phone briefly.]

Yet in one you still consume double the amount. Assuming you only drink one.

[As a new post is suddenly scribbled into the new journal, she briefly glances at it. It's nothing to concern herelf with so she turns her attention to the old one again.]

[modernholmes]

And no sugar. That balances it out, a little.

[modernholmes]

[He gives her a slightly annoyed look.]

Why do you care?

[notanthea]

[She doesn't look up from her work.]

I don't.

[modernholmes]

...What are you working on?

[notanthea]

[Securing vehicles, listing those capable of building advanced machinery, profiling those most heavily involved with law enforcement and what passes for a ruling body here, ] Finding good places to shop.

That would be most welcome, thank you. [He still hates he has to actually walk though.] Where would you care to meet?

[notanthea]

[Yes, yes, she is aware. Vehicles are one of the many things she is looking up at the moment.]

I'm in the kitchen at the moment, sir. Lobby perhaps?

[That's so good of you Anthea, really.]

Yes, that is agreeable, I will be there shortly then.

[notanthea]

[It's why you hired her. And why she still has the job.]

Yes, sir.

[She gathers up her things, putting the bottle and glass away before heading to the lobby. She continues typing into her phone as she walks.]

[And because of where his room is and such, he is there shortly after she is, journal in hand and his umbrella hanging off of his arm.

Did she expect him to not be busy?]

Certainly.

[She smiles, falling in beside him.]

[He smiles at that slightly, closing the journal to actually pay attention to where he is going as he walks.] Find anything of interest?

[notanthea]

I believe I may have secured us a car. There are also two men here, doctors, who appear to have access to a very advanced technology.

[isbritishgov]

Very good. And are there? What, type of advanced technology?

[notanthea]

I do not know, sir. They are responsible for one of the so-called "safe zones" here. I was going to set up a meeting with them for the sake of learning more.

[isbritishgov]

That would be wise, to be certain. You will of course, keep me informed as to what you learn, yes?

[notanthea]

Of course. I will have a transcript of the pertinent information ready for you once the meeting is concluded.
