Wonderland: Final Day

[When the time comes for Alice's trial, anyone who has come to watch will notice the cards guarding the area to the west start to stir. They seem quite alarmed about something... And in a moment, a short, ugly figure with a loud, shrieking voice makes their concerns clear.]

I am the Queen of Hearts!

[The woman glares about with her nostrils flaring. It's almost comic, really, but perhaps it's best not to laugh.]

I did not call for this trial! All of you! All of you shall lose your heads for this!

[She turns to the cards expectantly when they do not move instantly. It is a gaze that inspires fear in a number of them, and soon the guards are attacking. They aren't beheading anyone - the queen wants to watch that, after all - but they are willing to do whatever they must to capture the spectators and lock them away. Alice flees into the chaotic crowd.]

(ooc| Have at it, guys. This is the last part of the plot, and after a while, the Jabberwocky will be on the seen to make things even worse. Threads will go on until tomorrow - or, more accurately, until Crystal and I are both asleep - at which point characters will awaken with a start in their beds, back home.)

[Dairine narrows her eyes but doesn't move. As it tries to grab her, its claws will hit solid air a good 3 feet away from Dairine. Don't bother trying to get around it, the force field completely surrounds her.]

Nice try. [Then Dairine throws a bolt of electricity at the thing.]

[What is this? The claws try again and again to grab her, but they meet nothing but solid air. The Jabberwock burbles furiously at this new predicament.]

[And then the bolt goes off, and the Jabberwock lets out a short scream as it hits its side...but it shakes it off not more a minute later, none the worse for wear.]

[Giving up the claws, it tries to snap at her with its large maw, trying its best to crush her in its jaws.]

[It's teeth scrap against the force field, but Dairine isn't too worried. This shield could last through an atomic bomb if she put her mind to it. Dairine calls up another lighting bolt, holding it in her hand.]

Having some trouble there? Here... [She tosses the bolt into its mouth.] ...Eat this!

[OH WOW NOT COOL, DAIRINE. The creature shrieks loudly, coughing and sputtering sparks out of its throat, and man, it really doesn't look good for the Jabberwock here, and...]

[After a few minutes, it just swallows, and then lets out a loud and very gross belch. Nice lightning bolt there, it was very tasty. It turns again to her, clattering its claws and walking around her as it thinks about how to get through this pesky little barrier to the undoubtedly tasty insides.]

[YOU MEAN THE COOLEST. Or it would have been, if it had worked. Dairine watches the Jabberwock closely, looking for weak spots as she thinks of a new attack.]

Oh sorry, did that not agree with you? Maybe you'd like something hotter.

[Suddenly the air next to its head EXPLODES. Have fun with that.]
