[There’s a soft THUNK as the journal crashes to the floor followed by hysterical laughter. Edward swings the pool cue wildly as she rejoices in her win.]

Yaaaaaaaay!! [She dances around the table]

You just got lucky that time! I hereby challenge you to a rematch! [he stands up and puffs out his chest to appear all manly]

[Edward swings the cue around like a sword, brandishing it at him] Challeeeeeeeeeenge accepted!

[Gold lightly taps Edward’s cue with his own in acknowledgement] Get ready then, because I’m going to win this time!

Nooooo you’re noooot! [Edward cackles and whirls around the table, collecting the balls and racking them up for their next game.]

Ooh, then you’re in for a surprise! [as she resets the table, Gold digs out a coin] Heads or tails?

[She makes a show of thinking, tapping her chin with her finger and squinting her eyes. Clearly this is the most important decision she’s made all day] Heads!

[he flips, and it lands on Heads. He grumbles;] Heads... You may have gotten lucky again this time, but you are so going down!

Am nooo-oooot!

[Edward sticks out her tongue as she races around to the end of the table. She balances on one foot as she takes aim. With a decisive snap she sends the ball shooting forward. It cracks against the other, scattering them around the table. Sadly, none end up in the pockets]

You sooooooo are! [he chuckles, and scans the pool table, pretending to be in deep thought. But he was very used to calculating rebounds on the spot. After dramatic pause, he hits the cue ball, sending it to the velveted wall of the table and smacking into one of his striped balls. Unfortunately, none go in]

[She laughs, racing around the table. She takes aim at one of the solid balls. It flew across the table and sank in the corner pocket. She whooped with joy, runnimg around and taking aim again. This time the ball bounced off the edge of the pocket.]

Awwww

I better start getting serious! [He quickly evaluates the positioning and jumps to another side. With careful precision and cue control, he hits a striped ball, which bounces around, and knocks the striped ball he previously hit into the pocket before following in suit]

And that's how you play. [He takes a look at the table again. Finding no good opportunities at the moment, he knocks one of his striped balls into a seemingly random position]

Serious. Seeeerious! [And to show just how serious she is, Edward lines up her next shot with one hand and one foot, gripping the end of the pool cue with her toes. When she hits it, the cue ball bounces off all four walls, looking like it wasn't going to hit anything. However, SOMEHOW, it hit one of her balls and knocked it straight into the pocket.]

Yaaaaaaaaay!!

[She sinks one more before missing a shot]

That's an interesting form and technique, but check this out! [With his next hit, the cue ball goes rebounding off the wall, then against a few ball, sending them scattering, before it hits the striped ball he set up earlier into the pocket.] Hehe, what do you think of that? [He gets another in, then sets up a few balls in more places without sinking one in]

Oooooo tricky tricky!

[She races around the table, peeeeering at everything until finally choosing her shot. She aims at one of his striped balls, knocking it into one of her own and sending her own into the pocket. Her next shot goes wild, not hitting a single thing]

[scowling that she messed up his beautiful set up, Gold makes only one of his striped balls go in before setting up once again]

[Mwahaha. That's what you get for playing against someone with no discernible technique whatsoever! She ducks under the table, popping up on the other side and quickly lining up a shot. She hits one of her balls in... but the cue ball follows]

Awwww!

Good try, good try. [he resets the cue and strikes it into various balls with it, managing to sink one of his balls in.]

And one last one... [and as he goes to try to get that last one, his Aipom jumps on his back, causing him to send the cueball spinning nowhere] Gah!!

Interfeeeeeeerence! [She cackles with laughter before whipping her cue around and sinking a ball, quickly followed by another] oooone mooo~ooore!

[with only a brief pause to line up her sights she easily sinks the 8 ball. She whoops and dances around the table.]

Che, if Ataro didn't jump on me, I would have won. Good going, partner. [in a small tantrum, he goes and jumps on his bed, fuming]

Not noooot! [She dances around, laughing. Suddenly she stops dead in her tracks, staring at a door that she was SURE hadn't been there before]

huh?

[he immediately shoots back up]

What's up?

[She points at the door]

What's that? [With no warning, she rushes over and grabs the doorknob, throwing it open]

[a bunch of games spill out in a boxy avalanche]

Whoa!

[She laughs and climbs the mountain of games to see what's on the other side. When she gets there she whoops with glee]

Come, see! Come seee!

Whoahoho! I didn't even know I had those!

Gold! [Edward's voice calls from behind the games]

Cake!

Cake?! What'chu talking about?

[She looks over the mountain of games]

Come heeeereeee!!

[Indeed, past the game mountain there was a MASSIVE purple cake with elaborate pink frosting.]

How'd that get there!?

Edward doesn't know. [She swipes her finger across the frosting, tasting it]

But it's deliiiicious!

Hey, don't hog all of it! [and he scoops with his hand!]

Edward's not hogging it!

[She laughs, taking a handful, herself. She laughs and waves her arms, splattering frosting everywhere]

Oh? Then take this! [with his other hand, he takes another scoop and throws it at her]

[The cake hits her in the face, splattering her with frosting. She cracks up and grabs another handful and throws it right back]

[it his him in the face! he wipes it off and puts his goggles on]

I declare this a cake war!

[She wishes up her own goggles and slips them on. It's on, now.

She grins and giggles mischievously before grabbing two handfuls and darting behind the cake. Can't hit what you can't see!]

[grabbing his own two handfuls, he shuffles up to the cake, putting his back facing it, reading to strike from both sides]

[But are you prepared to strike from below? Edward slithers under the table and comes up below Gold, throwing both handfuls up at him]

Gah! [he stumbles backwards, into the cake, but setting the table off balance so it falls on both of them comically]

[Since she's laying on the floor already, she ends up buried under the cake. It takes her a moment, but she pops up in the middle of the cake pile, grinning]

[he'll pop out a second later before laughing hard]

Oh man, I can't believed that happened!

[She giggles, licking off all the cake she can reach with her tongue]

Silly castle!

[he's going to dig his way to the top and lie on top of it to make a cake angel]

[She giggles before diving back down into the cake and burrowing around in it]

[since there's not THAT much cake there, he'll feel her burrow underneath]

Whoa, watch it!

[She'll pop up next to him, sporting a frosting mustache and a grin]

Whoa, nice stache!

[She crinkles her nose, making a face at him.]

Cakestache.

[he grabs a handful of cake and sticks it to his chin]

How's this look?

[She giggles]

Edward likes it!

Awesome. Now we can be kings! Cake kings.

Long live the cake kings!

Our kingdom sure is delicious! [he scoops up some cake and eats it even though they've been swimming around in it]
