thirty-one detention slips
[Enjoy a nice splatter of spray paint splatter across your journals on this fine morning, Paradisa. Alex has been up all night decorating her bedroom walls - a big mural of the NYC skyline, just like the smaller version she gave to Kurt for Christmas. She doesn't know quite what possessed her to re-do it right now, but in the going-on-two years she's been in Paradisa, she's never missed her home more.
She hopes that Kurt is safe back there right now. Peeta, too, in his own hometown. After all, it's Paradisa. Who knows if it sticks to its word and actually sends everyone back where they came from.
A bit muffled by the her face mask - ]
Stupid how it works. I mean, you sit in this dump for two years, never really watching a friend go home. Then, all of the sudden, half of them just up and get kicked out at the same time. It's, like, irony or something.
[It would be safe to infer from this bit of dialogue that Alex doesn't actually know the definition of "irony".]
... Has anyone ever tried setting the castle on fire? I could probably go for that right now.
((ooc: dated to about 6:00 AM on Sunday))

[Wow these two are ridiculous.}

[ Can't stop won't stop ]

Hey, I'm a fragile soul right now. Don't test me, dude.
no subject
I was only teasing!
no subject
Well, in other words, I am doing nothing later and would like to hang out.

[ About ten minutes later, he appears on the roof with a sharp CRACK, blanket slung over his shoulder. ]
no subject
Dude, what did you just do?
no subject
[ He reaches over quickly to make sure she doesn't fall over the side of the castle, then blinks rather dumbly at her question. ]
I Apparated-- what, you Americans don't Apparate? How do you get around?
no subject
Well I mean, we can flash in and out of places. But we don't "apparate", or whatever.

[ He shrugs and makes his way over to her, sitting down close and offering half the blanket to her. He's decided not to bring up Kurt and Rapunzel unless she does first- if it were him who was upset he would go find something to distract him anyway, so... ]
Sun's going to be up soon.

[She takes half of the blanket, and goes quiet, looking up at the sky.]
Huh. Guess I'm pretty screwed, then. Can't sleep after sunrise.
[She taps the stone off to her side, indicating a warm "thank you" to the castle for her shitty loss.]
no subject
[ He scoots a little closer next to her, letting a hand plant itself behind her. He notes the tapping with a raised eyebrow. ]
That's your loss?
no subject
Yeah. One of them, at least.
no subject
[ He frowns a little. ]
I still haven't figured out what this place took from me. I know what it might be. But I don't know what exactly that includes.
[ And Merlin, does it piss him off to not know. Maybe just the fact that he doesn't remember exactly is his loss. ]
no subject
[She looks over at him.]
Well that wasn't vague, or anything. Come on, spill.
no subject
And that's just rude.
[ He huffs a little, then looks at her seriously. Which is a little scary- when Sirius is being, well, serious about something, his gaze can be a bit... intense for some.
Thankfully, he averts his gaze to look at the glowing horizon before he starts talking. ]
I noticed it when I was talking to Prongs- James- when I first got here. Right before I got here, I'd moved in at his place after school let out for the summer. He didn't remember it, 'cos he came from before this school term and I left my house during Christmas hols, but I couldn't explain why I left when I was telling him about it.
[ He looks at her again, a little sadly. ]
I have a bad feeling about it, whatever it is I'm missing. But it must be pretty damn important.
no subject
So you can't remember why you left home?
no subject
I feel like that's not all of it, though. There's something else missing, more like... There's something about why I left that I don't understand anymore.
no subject
Well, here's to you figuring it out eventually. Kinda sucks to not know what you forgot, I guess.
