11. Gravity/Is working against me

Though it seems impossible, I realize that I have been in Paradisa for sixth months. I know that is almost nothing compared to some of you, but still... I had rather hoped... well. That I would be back home by now, or at least that I would be able to see more familiar faces again.

It hasn't been all that bad, despite being separated from my sister and everyone else from my world, however. I'm glad to have made friends here; the acceptance I have found has been a little overwhelming at times, but I am still very grateful for all of it. And it is never dull here, to say the least.

How do you keep yourself from boredom?

My work, more than anything. I am a doctor, and that has always been one of my foremost passions.

Well, people do get themselves into a lot of trouble here.

Anything you've yet to wrap your brain around, as far as medicine is concerned?

I feel as though my knowledge will never be complete no matter what I learn, to tell you the truth. I am a trauma surgeon by trade, so anything more specialized than that can be beyond me.

What can I say? I have grown to like this place despite its attempts to make me loathe it.
