[ Well this is an odd situation to find yourself in. A man in military gear and a big ol' rifle strapped to his back is standing outside the castle in the nice cold night air staring up at it critically. He's got the journal open in one hand and every now and then looks down to flip a page or two over.

He seems to have gotten the basic gist of the thing at least, since he seems to be listening and reading things without really absorbing anything that's being said before flipping to a new page and talking. ]

Hey! What the hell is going on here? I've got no idea what game you're playing at, but I've got something more important I was in the middle of.

[Such a calm and rational reaction.

Reborn dodges the shot and takes the time to pull out his pistol and shoot at him in return.]

I am being serious. I never said it made sense.

[ Colonnello's not as good at dodging as Reborn, so it's lucky he's who he is and not someone else. Because he does manage to raise his gun in time to let the bullet hit that instead of his body--

And if you think something like that wouldn't really stop a bullet? ... You'd probably be right, but it's not like anything these guys do is exactly logical.

He's adjusting his grip on the gun and firing a few more rounds at Reborn. NOT DONE YET. ]

Then make it make sense!

[Logic? What is logic. It's the same thing that doesn't explain his Chaos Shot not killing someone yup.

And then he just dodges it again, as he normally does, staying calm and collected as he grabs his hat as he does it, only to bring his shoot once at Colonello and then above his head at a tree branch to try and well, knock him out or something.

No don't ask how he can shoot through tree branches, his gun can shoot through rocks.]

You want me to make sense of a soul sucking magical castle?

[ It doesn't matter because it still works! While Colonnello manages to dodge the bullet the falling tree branch smacks full force into his shoulder. It doesn't knock him out, but it makes him drop the gun and sends Colonnello stumbling a step backwards before regaining composure.

He rubs his shoulder once but doesn't make any move to pick up his rifle for now... ]

It takes souls?

[Good! And his goal was accomplished when he dropped the rifle, at which Reborn holsters his pistol and walks towards it, putting a foot on it to show that no, he can't have it.

And then he looks up.]

So they say. It takes things too. [Like keeping to being a baby or an adult.]

[ Get your nasty foot off his glorious weapon you jerk. You're getting dirt on it!!

He doesn't even care if it's dirty, he just doesn't like Reborn touching it.

Colonnello narrows his eyes but he's still not moving towards Reborn or anything of the sort. ]

What things?

[NOPE! He's stopping this before he accidentally makes Martel's ears bleed.

Yes that's important, more so then Colonello's...Colonello-ness.

So he just crosses his arms and shrugs.]

Memories, items, abilities. Messing with a curse that otherwise wouldn't be. [And guess which one he got hit with?]

[ Nothing is more important than Colonnello's Colonnelloness! Okay, some things are, but we're not getting into those things right now.

Right now Colonnello is stopping to hold up his hands and flex his fingers on his clearly adult hand for a minute. He's got some ideas as to what it took from him too in that case. ]

Hey. What does it even want with all of that?

[Yes that's not the thread at the moment, that's later.

So Reborn moves a hand up to tilt his hat up, giving him a look.]

It's a magical soul sucking castle. Probably takes it so it can feed from us. [And yeah he's totally saying that rather casually.]

[ It'll happen one day.

He wouldn't expect anything else from Reborn, but that doesn't make the comment any less disturbing. If anything it makes it worse. He's not even sure he wants to enter the building now. ]

So we blow it up.

[ Though if it was that easy... Reborn probably would have done it already. ]

[Sooner rather then later probably.

And well, he has little choice if he wants a bed and food. Things like that are rather important.

But he does sigh, and then shifts his foot around to kick Colonello's rifle up to him by digging his foot under it.]

Go ahead and try.

[ Maybe. ....... Maybe.

Colonnello snatches it out of the air with ease and is pretty quick to shoulder the weapon and aim it at the castle. One eye closed, lining up the shot for what he thinks will be the weakest point.

You uh... you wanna just tell him about all those people in the castle that aren't part of it's dickery? Because this might not be a great plan on Colonnello's part. ]

[And Reborn crosses his arms, looks at him, and sighs.

Really? Really, Colonello?]

It is a castle, idiot. [With people.] You have seen the journal, right?

[ He makes an irritated sound. He could easily blow this up, and the best way to test and see if something works is to just do it.

BEST LIFE MOTTO.

Either way he lowers the gun so he can free one hand to grab the journal off his person and toss it at Reborn. ]

[And he's still as dumb as ever :|

Reborn catches the journal and looks at, then at Colonello, then at the journal, and sighs.]

You realize the people that talk in this live in there, right?

[ He holds his position for a moment, before sighing and hooking the rifle back onto his back. ]

They'd be better off moving into that town over there.

[ Jerking his thumb in the direction of the city. ]

[He glances at the city and then Colonello and shrugs.]

Living in the castle is free, living in town isn't.

[People are lazy, in other words.]

[ Should have known. ]

So we just sit back and accept this until we can find another way out?

[ He crosses his arms. He clearly doesn't like this option. ]

[And you think he does?]

Yes, not much else to do, except survive what it does to us. [...] Like give Tsuna rabbit ears.

[Yes he had to mention Tsuna with rabbit ears as an example of the castle's power.]

[ There's like five seconds where that's kind of funny and he looks amused, but he can't ignore the first part there. He's almost certain that giving people rabbit ears isn't top priority on a soul sucking castle's list of things to do to people. ]

They'd suit him.

[No, no it's not. But it's worth mentioning.]

The castle thought so, he still has them from our trip through a mirror. [Oh right he should mention something else.] It can bring the dead back as well.

[He says it so casually that the tug on his hat may go unnoticed as what it really was, him being irritated at such a thing.]

[ !!

Now there's something. Unfortunately the little hat tug isn't actually missed and Colonnello's thinking through all the possibilities here. ]

That's one hell of a trick.

[No one he knows, yet at least. Though he has a feeling Martel will find him eventually. Sigh.]

It has more. Tsuna could tell you about them better then I, he's been here longer. [Which totally means they need to make him talk while they train him.

[ Obviously Y! Colonnello's feeling pretty grumpy about this entire situation. ]

Lets hurry up and find him already.

[ He doesn't make any moves for a half a second though, staring intently at the castle in front of them. ]

Hey Reborn... Lal's not here is she.

[ Not really a question since he's almost positive Reborn would have mentioned her before now if she was, but he wants the confirmation. ]

[Who isn't man?

He turns to look at the castle and shakes his head.]

Just you, me, Tsuna and Primo.

[Yes he just said Primo. The dead one. In case that wasn't clear.]
