[This is when Steph will say she's 21, but she still doesn't like the taste of wine. It's just to humor Lucrezia, mostly. She's sort of glad to have an ally in this, though, smiling even as she takes his glass away from him.]
We'll have to ease Tim into your time, Lucrezia. Clothes first, wine another time? Tim's still a few years away from that legal drinking age.
[ Lucrezia doesn't understand legal drinking ages. Why keep your children from the healthier option? ]
I will say again that you are missing the best! [ Teasing, but she does take Tim's glass to set it aside, taking a sip of her own wine as she steps toward the boxes. ]
[Tim can't help but giving an admiring glance to the vest. It is nice and he's certainly worn worse clothes before.]
Like that.
[Moves over to it to get a better look at it. If he has to wear clothing like this to get back to his studying, well...he'll survive it somehow. Cough.]
[ Lucrezia returns that grin, mission accomplished! She brings the vest to her bed to lay it out. ]
And now, the pants to go with it. [ She rummages in another box for a pair of black leather ones because white pants are just weird and they haven't found a way to dye leather quite blue yet. ]
Lucrezia ends up with the prettiest clothes no matter what. And over there. [Steph will point him in the right direction! No strip show from the ex today.]
[Spots a white, long sleeved tunic that is ruffle free. Scoops it up before Lucrezia has the chance to toss anything with ruffles his way. Grabs a leather belt to go along with them.]
I'll be right back. [Tim means it, too. Male Renaissance era clothing has nothing on some of the suits he's had to change in and out of within minutes.
Before long he steps out of the bathroom, smoothing out the vest self-consciously. Even though he's worn leather pants before, strolling around in them as a civilian is a little unnerving.]
[Steph looks him over, careful not to look too much or linger. The vest's color looks good on him. Blue is a color she relates to Dick, for obvious reasons, but Tim can pull it off, too.
[ Lucrezia claps too. Pulling off that leather pants, Tim! She brings out a box with a round of necklace for him, long enough to drap over his chest and studded with rough gems of blue and purple. ]
This, or a hat? [ She points to a box with all sorts of funny ones. ]
[Hopefully the smile he gave her was enough of a note. Tim knew enough history to know that nobility types were the ones who were dressed by others, not vice versa.]
This is unreal. [Tim comments as he looks down at his clothes.]
[ An honor she would bestow her family and perhaps her husband, as well as the occasional best friend's ex-boyfriend. She isn't known for keeping traditions. ]
Maybe. [Flashes a grin at Steph, then he looks over to Lucrezia.]
A Mancini? [Resists the urge to go track down a sword. Steph's earlier assumptions are correct; wearing the clothes is definitely pinging some of his nerdier fantasies.]

Shifts his attention over to the wine.]
I don't suppose you have any Pepsi or Mt.Dew?
[Tim will work with the League of Shadows to find Bruce, but underage drinking...nope!]

Now, do you have a favorite color?

I like blue. Blue and white.

Blue's a good color.

Like so?

Do you design and make your own clothes?
[Given her status, he doesn't think that's the case, but she has boxes full of clothing lying around.]

That stretches the truth somewhat. I choose colors and fabrics that please me and the tailors guess at my current fancy.

Is there somewhere I can change? [Glances around for the bathroom door. ]

[ Lucrezia keeps digging through the boxes to find other things Tim can try out after, things with ruffles too. ]

Very nice.

What do you think, Lucrezia? Does he make a decent Renaissance man?
no subject
He looks like a Mancini with his colors!
