I'm going to be going out to the Dead Zone for a while - A group of us are going to Last Look. I'll have my journal with me and I'll keep in touch, I just didn't want anyone to think I'd disappeared or anything.

Hey, I'm in the mood to indulge a bit before going to the great outdoors. You up for a little shopping trip? Maybe getting some dinner after?

We've had fairy tales and a looking glass... It makes me wonder if we're going to have any other literary themed things happen here. Though I suppose it wasn't the worst thing that's happened to me since I've been here. It's all a matter of comparison after a while, isn't it? "yeah that was bad but do you remember the pirates?" and so on.

[She pauses, thinking for a moment]

This place never ceases to amaze.

You know, the actual library experienced something odd once. All sorts of things were popping out of books people opened. I live on the fifth floor, so cleaning up after all of it became very exhausting.

I wasn't here for the pirates. I think I came in just after that was over.

Oh I heard about that one! I think I'm glad I didn't see it for myself. It sounds like it would have been quite a mess.

[She smiles] It was a rough one. I ended up wounded like a lot of people but that's also how I met Peter.

Really? I suppose perilous circumstances are when you always meet the best people, because I became friends with Harry and Ron after they saved me from a mountain troll. If someone is willing to risk themselves like that for you, you know they're a worthy companion.

Or future husband, in some cases.

[She smiles] Absolutely true.

A mountain troll? Okay. I have to ask: what are trolls like from your world? Because in our world trolls are only about ankle high and the worst they do is knock you over in the in betweens and steal things.

Our trolls are nothing like that. I've only seen one in person, and it was brutish. They're destructive creatures but not very intelligent. My friends beat it by knocking it unconscious with its own club.

It still amazes me how the same thing can be so different in different worlds.

It's one thing I like about living here: discovering other worlds and learning about them.

Me, too. It certainly keeps things interesting, especially learning about the different kinds of magic people have.

No, he's going to be sitting this one out. Would you keep an eye on him for me? Make sure he doesn't get into any trouble?

[As if Peter would but she still has to tease.]

What do you seek in Last Look, if I may ask?

We're going to put out a warning so no one else will release that virus that came from there. [She smiles] It also never hurts to do a little exploring once in a while.

A wise idea, I think. You must take note of any discoveries you make.

I will. We should get together for tea or something before I leave.

I would be glad to; we have not seen as much of each other as I would like.

Agreed. I'm free this afternoon if you'd like to come by.

[Elektra smiles when she sees her. Looks like the other woman beat her here.] You must have be eager for something new.

It's been a long time since I've had a proper girl's day out. I wanted to get out and have some fun before I had to rough it.

Besides, what's wrong with wanting to do a little shopping?

Nothing. [She smiles.] Of course I'd be here either way.

We should do this more often. I can't remember the last time I actually went out and just shopped with someone.

[Phoebe looks around for their first destination]

Neither can I. Shopping with people usually happens by accident for me. [She shrugs.]

If you need someone to intentionally shop with sometimes I'd be happy to join you. I could use some more variety anyways.
