[Evan knew better than to be outside after dark, but his desire to protect people and to be a True Hero often overrode his common sense. So, here he was, dressed in his winter coat and jeans, a flashlight in his gloved hands, his ears expanded to pick up noises that most would miss. When he hears that unearthly howl split the air, he instinctively shrinks his ears back to their normal size, and searches his memory for what kind of animal could make a noise like that. It sounded like a wolf, but it was much bigger than that. Just to be on the safe side, he expands one of his hands to about twice it's normal size, and clenches it into a hammer-like fist.]
