It was terrible! Like, I mean even now I'll get these memories of being this starving artist chick in Paris. And I know they're not real, but it's weird, 'cause it was real for awhile. That first month back, though? I couldn't have even told you where I was born. All of this crap was true, only a bunch of it wasn't all of the sudden. And I didn't know which was which.

[Alex pays no mind to his impatience. She doesn't cater to people who sound like they have textbooks up their asses.]

And Paradisa memories? Could you reliably remember people, places, events, or did those scramble as well?

Events, sometimes, and places. But it was like, I couldn't remember if they happened here, or in Paris, or back in New York. And people were a total loss, for some reason. I remembered like two people for the first month. And by that point half the people I'd known had gotten tossed back to their worlds.

Did you remember them all at once, or did they trickle in?

I guess they, like, "trickled" or whatever. I was still having those aha moments about people and stuff into last summer. Super annoying.

So, in other words, you can't be sure that you've had all your 'aha moments' to have. Might still be a few things left to rediscover.

Yeah, pretty much. I mean, it's not like you know you forgot something until you remember it, right?

Right.

Yeah, sure, unless you're like a creep or something. Do you alway go by initials? 'Cause that's pretty 60's-spy-flick-villain if you ask me.

[Oh, good! Audible eye rolls just make her more irritating. She's pretty sure that "sherlock" is some kind of poisonous plant (wrong), but she gets the sense that he's just grouchy, not villainous.]
