Half the allure of a teahouse is the atmosphere, in addition to the quality of the drinks. A normal kitchen can't really compare to that.

Mostly originating in my hometown. The rest of the world is slowly picking up teas, though I'm sure alcohol is far more plenty and enjoyable to some.
