[ This past month has been a trying one all the way around, culminating in her fighting with a werewolf shortly after hearing someone else she was attached to had left. Now, another had followed them. And Arya, she's still trying to wrap her mind around the change in her. The one she loved and trusted more than anyone here, and she couldn't do anything to help.

It's been a few days, but she's finally found her way back to the castle. She's fallen into old habits; in that it looks like she hasn't showered since she left the castle last and her clothing is caked with dirt and claw marks in the chest of her sweater. So, where does a lonely vampire kid go to gather her thoughts? Why, the roof, of course! Rather than dictate, she pens in a few filters. ]

[ If she's talked to you more than once, you're a friend. ]

[ Oh, this is all kinds of awkward for her. It's taken her months to decided that this might be a good idea. Even then, it's only a might. ]

[ The journal picks up a sigh, then she sets the pen aside to dictate instead. If she wanted to meet any of them, she had to speak up and stop being so distrusting. ]

[ After mulling over various things for a good hour and a half, she begins a trek to her final destination before sunrise; Lana's place. Truth be told, she's not even sure why she decided on Lana but some of it probably has to do with wanting to continue giving Arya her space.

After two false starts, she eventually knocks on her door. ]

[Back in the Gulch and at his outpost, the sun never changed position. It was always "daytime" and eating, sleeping and so on were just scheduled events to break the monotony. It was easy to forget that he didn't sleep.
But not here, here day and night went on as normal. So he was a little surprised to find a kid up on the roof in the middle of the night.]

Aren't you a little young to be up so late?

Shouldn't you be in bed or something?

Why would you say that? If you got hurt, someone should take you down to the clinic to get looked at. Whatever's happened, it can't be any worse than what I've seen back home, trust me.

[Considering that he watched Skinless Man destroy his adoptive uncle's heart right in front of him, very little shocks Evan any more.]

[ She's just going to glance over a shoulder at him. There's no malice in her tone and her expression is a bored one, it seems like genuine curiosity. Since arriving, she's noticed that all of the adults have too many question. ]

I did, yeah. I fought it for a little while too, but he didn't like it much when I made myself as big as he is. I can...sorta do that. I don't think I ever told you.

[ A pause, as she lets all of that sink in. ]

Yeah? I might've figured. Seems like all of my friends are special like that.

[Rather than being confused or weirded out, Evan sounds a little excited.]

I...try not to make a big deal out of it. Or I've been trying not to, anyway. Sometimes people don't like finding out what I can do.
