[ This past month has been a trying one all the way around, culminating in her fighting with a werewolf shortly after hearing someone else she was attached to had left. Now, another had followed them. And Arya, she's still trying to wrap her mind around the change in her. The one she loved and trusted more than anyone here, and she couldn't do anything to help.
It's been a few days, but she's finally found her way back to the castle. She's fallen into old habits; in that it looks like she hasn't showered since she left the castle last and her clothing is caked with dirt and claw marks in the chest of her sweater. So, where does a lonely vampire kid go to gather her thoughts? Why, the roof, of course! Rather than dictate, she pens in a few filters. ]
[ If she's talked to you more than once, you're a friend. ]
Be careful in the woods.
[ Allen ]
How is your trip going?
[ Team Vampires ]
[ Oh, this is all kinds of awkward for her. It's taken her months to decided that this might be a good idea. Even then, it's only a might. ]
If any of you are willing..
[ The journal picks up a sigh, then she sets the pen aside to dictate instead. If she wanted to meet any of them, she had to speak up and stop being so distrusting. ]
If any of you are willing, I'd.. like to meet you. I won't take a lot of your time, but I do have a few questions.
[ Lana | Action ]
[ After mulling over various things for a good hour and a half, she begins a trek to her final destination before sunrise; Lana's place. Truth be told, she's not even sure why she decided on Lana but some of it probably has to do with wanting to continue giving Arya her space.
After two false starts, she eventually knocks on her door. ]
[ooc Over the journal, or action if any night owls are out and about.]

And ever!
Where are you now? I wanna come see you.

[Considering that he watched Skinless Man destroy his adoptive uncle's heart right in front of him, very little shocks Evan any more.]

[ If she's lying, she should be an actress. ]
Did you approach it?

[You can't fool Evan. He Knows Stuff about werewolves.]
I did, yeah. I fought it for a little while too, but he didn't like it much when I made myself as big as he is. I can...sorta do that. I don't think I ever told you.

[ A pause, as she lets all of that sink in. ]
You didn't.

[Rather than being confused or weirded out, Evan sounds a little excited.]
I...try not to make a big deal out of it. Or I've been trying not to, anyway. Sometimes people don't like finding out what I can do.

[He's found information on Clan Akkaba and Apocalypse, and has been devouring the volume, determined to become nothing like his predecessor, but he wants the people he's close to, to know where he's come from.]

She only murmurs two words before closing the book. It wouldn't be hard to miss her, as she looks like a human mud pie. Besides, he knows what she looks like normally. ]
The roof.

Wow, you must have really been wrestling with him. No offense Abby, but...you would really use a shower. Here.
[His smile seems to say that he's used to this sort of thing, and he holds out the leather-bound tome, it's cover emblazoned with a distinctive symbol.]
((Btw, best place to look for what would be in that book would be Rise of Apocalypse, Apocalypse vs. Dracula, Uncanny X-Force, and the issue of New Excalibur where Jono is repowered. If you want scans without searching, I can put them all in a .zip folder or something.))

For now, she refrains from opening it. ]
What is this?

It's the history of Clan Akkaba...and En Sabah Nur, the person...I was cloned from. I just...wanted you to know a little more about me. There's...more to me than growing up on the farm, and not all of it is good, either. Something I'm trying to make up for.
[i.e. wiping out most of his descendents after they were corrupted by Dracula, as well as the wholesale murder of hundreds of thousands of people throughout history. They weren't Evan's deeds, but he felt responsible just the same.]

It seems to me something to him, anyway. ]
The flaws are what make a person. You live through bad things, then learn from them -- which is how you make up for them. By not making the same mistakes again.
[ She glances down at the book for a moment, then back up at him. Really, she isn't trying to be rude. It's just Abby being Abby. And maybe her way of giving him one more chance to reclaim his written past. ]
I don't have to read this to know you're a good person.
no subject
Thanks, Abby. I still think you should read it though, because...I'm just a clone, but...the original is still out there, somewhere. He's very dangerous, and very old. I've...been learning as much as I can about him, in case he ever comes back.
[He gestures to her.]
First, we should get you cleaned up. Strong or not, it's not good for you to wander around looking like death warmed-over.
[He reaches out for her to take his hand.]

His sincerity, his inability to let her sulk and the way he approaches the matter of her hygiene. Before she can catch herself, she laughs a little and eventually claims the hand that he offered her. ]
.. If that's what you want.

[He leads her back into the castle, but stops when they get inside.]
You know...I don't think I know where your room is. Care to point me in the right direction?
