What's Halloween?

It's a day where people dress up in costumes, watch scary movies, and go trick or treating.

Yeah, well, you might be waiting for a while. Halloween isn't until October.

In the fall season, right between September and November.

I came in November. That means I have to wait a long time for Halloween.

Just missed it then. [What a shame.] But at least you've got half the waiting done already.

No, but there's candy. And pumpkins.

Why pumpkins?

Because they're in season. Also, they make great jack-o-lanterns.

Jack-o-lantern? What's that?

It's a Halloween tradition. We take a pumpkin, carve out the center, cut a face into it, and put a candle inside. That way the jack-o-lantern's face glows in the dark.
