Skit 7: Holidays

You all have so many holidays. I've never heard of them before coming here. Which one is your favorite?

Ah - many here are, myself included. 'The West' generally refers to both a geographical area and a certain shared culture among the countries and peoples of that area, which includes various holidays.

It must be a big place.

It is. Two billion people and counting.

Why do they all live in the west?

They don't - just a majority of the ones who've come to the Castle.

But why?

That I cannot say. You'd have to ask the castle, and I don't think it's fond of questions.

Gave me the distinct feeling that if I dug deeper, I'd be borrowing more trouble than I could pay for.

It asks for money?

Ah, no - it's a metaphor. The castle would cause more trouble than I would know how to deal with.

People say that a lot. But it's alive, so it makes mistakes like people.

You might be right. I'm not sure I'd want to get caught in one of it's mistakes, though.
