[he had already been on his way back to his room when midnight hits, so finding himself suddenly teleported the rest of the way is a little annoying. Then, finding the whole place decked out in the castle's favorite brand of obnoxious heart motif is pretty annoying.

...But, realizing that his bed, decorations, and objects from home have all been changed to match the hideous decor--that is downright infuriating. His uncle's teapot is pink, there is a heart instead of iconic flame on the banner on the wall, and his bed... is that lace??]

--What happened to my room?!

[he hasn't even noticed the fact that he also has a guest, yet]

[And in this corner, we have a teen just sitting there and watching Zuko. He looks horribly amused, and at the outburst he just giggles.]

It was decorated, of course! It seems the Castle has quite the sense of humor.

These are for a holiday coming up soon, are they not?

[he's just now noticing the open journal, so he's half-expecting someone to comment... just not from inside his room. So, he startles a little, whirling to face the other boy]

--Who are you?

[bedninja]

A guest of yours, it would seem. [Pharos laughs again, apparently unaffected by that not-quite-look that Zuko is giving him.] Normally I do not simply intrude in the rooms of people that I do not know, of course, but the Castle has not given me a choice in the matter I am afraid.

[honorinflames]

[yeah, despite the explanation, he's still looking as if he expects this kid to be the cause of whatever's going on, not a victim of it]

What do you mean? What's-- [and then, with a strangled sound, his attention slips right over Pharos' shoulder to where there is a set of very pink swords displayed on the wall] --my blades!

[and, the conversation is set aside for a moment as he rushes over to his poor Valentined swords]

Blades? [Pharos follows his gave and turns halfway to look behind him at the swords hung up on the wall. He tilts his head in a curious way, as if it'll give him a better view. He'd look back at Zuko, but hey, it seems Zuko has come over to him!]

They are quite the colorful swords, are they not?

They're not supposed to be colorful!

[it's as if seeing them that color is causing him physical pain. This is obviously the most important thing right now, so he removes one from the mounting so he can... try to wipe off the pink with the hem of his shirt.


...And it's not working]

Why ever not? Uru often says that color is a good thing. Though she typically says that about blue when it comes to me... [Watching Zuko like his reactions are the most fascinating thing in the world; which, right now, they are.] Why do you dislike it so much?

[most of that is just going in one ear and out the other, while he despairs over the fact that his efforts to clean off the blades aren't having any effect at all.

The last part sticks, though--] Because it's pink!

But it is just a color. Is it truly any different from it being red or blue?

[honorinflames]

Of course it is.

[he grumbles, replacing the thing on the wall in resignation]

...I can't believe this.

...I am afraid that I do not understand why it is so alarming for you.

It is to be expected when holidays occur here, is it not?

[explaining that pink is a girly color seems kind of... dumb. So, he sticks to the other issue here]

Decorating, yeah. But not... changing things like this. [--gesturing where lacy hearts have replaced fire emblems]

...But is that not what decorating is?

Isn't it more reasonable to think that it took whatever decorations you had up yourself and merely replaced them?

These aren't decorations!

[well, some of the changed things are, but...]

But they were on your wall! Would that not make them a decoration?

I do not typically see people putting weapons on their walls.
