 [It is late in the evening, and Edgeworth is returning to his room from spending countless hours at the Clinic. Upon opening his room door, something is a little...off, to say the least. He writes to the fellow residents of the castle:]








...I am still but a newcomer here, and I've yet to comprehend much the inscrutable workings of this place, but is finding a complete stranger in your bed considered a normal occurrence?

...Just when I thought I had escaped it all, I am presented with worse. At least back in Los Angeles, i did not find 'fans' showing up in my house and taking liberties with my bed.

...Those are usually planned. This wasn't.

[muttering] Perhaps that one was an outlier of some sort. It is an insufficient sample size, at any rate.

Perhaps thou canst turn it into one?

[ In fact, that stranger isn't just in his bed, but the Growlithe nearby seems perfectly content about it! Having already woken up shortly after midnight, Joshua's back out and not even stirring at the latest arrival.

At his feet on top of the covers is a note, though: ]

'To Whom This May Concern,

I'm trapped here now, and if you're reading this so are you. Don't bother panicking, just be quiet so I can get some sleep for once and please have breakfast ready in the morning. I'll explain the rest then.

[And with that, he walks on over and inspects the stranger under HIS comforter. Disregarding the note -- because...hey, where is HE going to sleep? -- he prods the sleeping young man in the face.]

[ Edgeworth's hand is stuck in a tight, almost crushing grip a moment later, two narrowed eyes glaring up at him. ]

Don't touch me.

[ Joshua quickly shoves him back before sitting up and rubbing at his eyes. Didn't this jerk read the note? He's not happy about having his sleep disturbed in such a way. ]

I'd hope not. That's a bit much even for a... "magic castle".

I wonder how I ended up being the fortunate one, then.

[confidente]

I wouldn't think on it too much, a lot about this place makes no sense.

[optimystic]

....... No, that's more on the side of not normal.

Who woke up in your bed?

...A rapacious, intrusive demon of a boy.

That sounds scary! Do you need any help? We can throw him out for you!

Normal is a term I would be hesitant to use regarding anything in this place.

Well, I suppose I was referring to it in a relative sense of normalcy in regards to Paradisa. I am not sure if this is a prank or a burglary.
