Once inside, Harper's room does resemble a machine shop, with a hammock strung across one corner for the self-proclaimed genius to sleep in.

The man, himself, is currently bent over a humanoid-looking shape, examining its mangled arm.]

[ This reminds her of a brothel, if only because she can't recall any other place quite so... disheveled. She doesn't venture too far in, craning her neck to spot him. ]

[Looking up, he has a pair of magnifying goggles on, which he quickly lifts up onto his head.]

This? No, no. It's for someone else.

[He ducks from under the table, walking towards two cardboard boxes.]

Here they are. Portable heaters. Give 'em six hours charge off a power outlet and they should give heat for 24 hours. They'll work off the main power, too.

[ Her attention is still on the human-shaped things for a few moments more, before she starts to navigate the room toward the boxes, peering to see their contents. ]

Six hours... how do I give them this "charge"?

Cable at the back. Plug this- [He pulls out the power cable.] -Into a hole that looks like it. It'll charge. A red light'll light up on the front.

That doesn't really matter. Don't worry, it's not weapons, and I'm not grafting PDLs onto it or anything.

It's mostly joints and servos, I just need to know what will and won't compromise movement. This ain't exactly what I deal with regularily.

If you care that much, there can't be many people who have access to your tech. Ask around. I'm not from your universe, and, frankly, the System's Commonwealth is lightyears ahead of what I've seen. Trust me, there's nothing I want to steal when I can build something better in my sleep.

You're welcome to look at the schematics of what I've got, but I get the feeling my client would prefer to remain undisclosed. I think he has trust issues.
