[Aw yes, it's time that awkward morning after of a mass castle loss]

Wow, that was sure...something.

Normally I'd start asking questions about Earth and what sick minds think up places like that, but you know what? Nah. This time I'm gonna spare you guys. Because sometimes ignorance is bliss!

So! How about instead we all agree never to talk about those three days again, hm? I won't even point out which ones of you aged terribly! Consider it a free pass from your benevolent and great Zelos Wilder!

I dunno...we're in a magic castle, who knows if it can!

[wolfchild]

[ She mulls that over. Tilting her head so she's more or less level with the crab's eye stalks, she apologizes. ]

I'm not truly going to eat you.

[wilder]

I'm sure it's glad to hear it.

[wolfchild]

[ Eventually, she leaves the poor frightened crabs alone. She returns to splashing about in the waves. Arya only comes out to stand dripping and red-eyed next to Zelos. ]

I'm hungryyy.

[wilder]

[And he was relaxing, watching on the beach]

Heh, are you?

Do you wanna go and get some lunch?

[wolfchild]

Can we come back after?

[wilder]

[a shrug]

I don't see why not.

-- But no more seaweed!

[wolfchild]

I promise.

[wilder]

Okay.

Then we can definitely come back!

[wolfchild]

[ Arya grabs one of the towels and half-dries herself off. She snaps her dress out then pulls it over her head. Tying her shoes together, she slings them over her shoulder and grabs Zelos' hand. ]

I'm ready.

[wilder]

[He'll take her hand in return, having slipped his own boots on in the process and ring out his hair]

Alright, let's go!

[wolfchild]

[ Down to the kitchen we shall go yeaaaaah ]

Can you cook? I don't really know how. Someone else would cook whatever we caught over a fire. Hot Pie knew. Gendry and I only had what we had with us most of the time.

[wilder]

Heh, yeah I can cook. What would like?

And you know, maybe you should consider learning sometime. It comes in handy.

[wolfchild]

I was going to work in the kitchens but I got sent to Weese instead. I had to clean and serve at meals and if I did anything wrong I'd get hit. Hot Pie got to go to the kitchens. He was happy there. Sometimes he'd sneak me a tart, but one day he got caught and the cook hit him 'round the head so hard he never tried again.

[wilder]

Seriously? What the hell kinda kitchens is that?

[wolfchild]

That food was for the lords and the soldiers. Us servants weren't allowed to eat it.

[wilder]

That doesn't mean you should beat your servants over it. Especially not over a stupid tart or two.

[wolfchild]

[ She shrugs. ]

That's what they did. I was caned until the blood ran down my legs because I forgot to ask for the laundry. You learned fast to keep your mouth shut and do what they said or you didn't learn at all.

[ Because you'd be dead. ]

[wilder]

[a slight annoyed sound. It pisses him off, especially that he can't do anything about it]

I always hated nobles like that.

[wolfchild]

But we got out, me, Hot Pie and Gendry. [ Never saying how...

She looks up at him. ]

What do you like to cook? Oh! Something I haven't had before. Like curry. Make that!

[wilder]

Good.

[glancing down]

Curry? - Oh yeah! I did say I'd make it sometime for you. You want it spicy or not?

[wolfchild]

I don't know. Yes?

[wilder]

Have you had spicy before?

[wolfchild]
