When I'm Sixty-four

So apparently when I get old I'm going to go around wearing a fisherman's hat, grow a beard and need reading glasses. And you know, it's kind of nice to think about. I know it sounds weird but I like even the thought that I might get to live long enough to worry about things like reading glasses.

Being a demigod does attract monsters, and being a powerful one attracts them more. Then there was this whole prophecy thing against me... But I made it through. Now I just need to graduate high school.

Sounds like it does make for some interesting stories at least. I'm sure you won't have a problem with that though.

That's why they still teach Greek mythology in school.

Do they? I never had a class like that at Hogwarts, though I certainly learned about some of those monsters in the legends.

Eh, it's really more for... what are they called? Muggies? The non-magical people. It's part of our history.

Muggles. Shame though, sounds interesting enough.

Muggles, right. Sounds like the name of a dog.

Interesting. Deadly. Same thing, really.

Now that'd be a strange dog.

Of course! Things that are safe are hardly ever that interesting.

People name their dogs strange things sometimes. My dog's name is Mrs. O'Leary. And she's not even Irish.

[ He's laughing at that. ]

Well it's a proper name for a lady though. What kind of dog is she?

A hellhound. But she's tame! I'm kinda glad she's not here; I'd worry about her getting hurt by the castle all the time.

[ A whistle. Still impressive enough. ]

It doesn't exactly seem the best place for pets, does it?

Nope... Which makes me wonder why so many people have them.

Companionship I suppose.
