Tadchan-a-Odog; earlier this morning
[Galadriel knew that he was gone the instant she awoke to an empty bed. He could have awakened early and risen before her. It was possible. But in her heart of hearts she knew. She couldn't feel him; no matter how she reached, she could not touch his mind with hers and that was answer enough.
It could not hurt to be certain, however. She slipped out of bed, threw a robe over her dressing gown, and made her way outside the room to check the nameplate. A blank spot under her own name stared back at her. That was it then.
She steps back into her room, seats herself on the couch, and opens her journal. The voice that comes through the pages is deceptively calm- cool, collected, detached.]
The Lord Celeborn of Lothlórien has been returned to his realm and to his people. On his behalf, I would thank all who showed him kindness and hospitality during his stay and request that you bring any unfinished business you have have had with him to my attention. My lord would not have his promises go unfulfilled.
[And then just in case you weren’t sure who she was, she signs her name in an elegant looping handwriting.]
-Galadriel, Lady of Lothlórien.
[And that was that. Another chapter closed. Another parting. She closes the journal and sits in silence for awhile, content to be alone with her thoughts.]
