[Friends, away from Mildmay and Thamuris]

My brother arrived a few days ago. I notice a few of you have spoken to him already, in which case you can ignore the alias he gave you. His name is in fact Mildmay.

I would consider it a kindness if you treated him as a friend and didn't harass him too much? I feel as though the latter has to be stressed, knowing some of you. [Trolling his brother is HIS JOB, thank you very much] He's not...very comfortable with magic and I think there are many aspects of the castle he'll not deal with easily.

Do what you can to give him assistance and keep an eye out for him. I will not allow him to come to harm while I'm around [The binding by forms seemed to demand he assure that. The one downside to being removed from Mirador politics is that it did not provide the same level of protection here.] I imagine the resemblance will be easy enough to spot, but he also has a scar and walks with a cane.

And before you ask, we are half brothers, yes.

[And maybe it's a little petty but...well, Thamuris didn't want to be one of his secrets, so...]

Hm. Since I'm on the subject, I may have forgot to mention that someone else from my world arrived a few months ago. His name is Thamuris and he is a wizard from the country I was born in.

[That statement is happily free of baggage here, so it's easily not to mention how they really met]

I'd like the same consideration to apply to him.

[After sending those messages heads back out to the living room with a slight sigh to find Ashura. He seems sense and obviously bracing himself for something.]

[He does hesitate a moment. Ashura is one of the people that would know the most of what to expect, but it's also because of that that Milmay's arrival is difficult to reveal to even him.]

_{[There is a quiet pause as he digests that. He knew Felix had a brother, of course he did, but it was still a shock. Even with the appearance of Thamuris, it was something of a miracle for yet another of Felix's world to appear.]}

[Mildmay doesn't answer on the journal. There's no need. He just walks to Felix's door, and gently knocks.]

[It only takes a few seconds for Felix to answer, having been close to the door at the time.

He gives his brother a slight smile as he opens it, though it's clear, despite his usual poise, that he's nervous.]

Mildmay. Come in. I want you to meet someone.

[He steps back and allows Mildmay in, revealing Ashura across the room.]

Mildmay, this is Ashura...

[Mildmay walks in, expression blank as always. The real breath of emotion is in his eyes: wariness and curiosity can be found by a practiced observer. He scans the room warily, and finds Ashura quickly. From his looks alone, Mildmay can guess almost immediately what this all means, and there is a flash of anger-- Gideon ain't even in the ground yet, Felix!-- but it subsides quickly. He remembers, for Felix, that it's been two years. A respectable mourning period as any; or, at least, enough to give the man the benefit of the doubt that a mourning period was observed.]

[So, to Ashura, he says,] Hullo.

[Her voice is a little quieter than usual, a little more tired. But there's a smile in her voice all the same.]

I am glad for you. I will, of course, treat him kindly.

[Being uncomfortable with magic, though...that makes her pause.]

I am not likely to give him a shock by appearance alone, am I? [At least she finally realized that not everyone is expecting to run into 6'4" elven ladies?]

A quiet sort of upheaval on my part. [It's a strange thing- the change caused by a lack. Everything else is precisely as it was, but without him the meanings shift.] May yours prove more pleasant.
