[She spots their orders coming, so she lifts his hands up so she can kiss his knuckles before letting them go.]

[Tim sighs happy, at both her affectionate gesture, and the smell of his food.

Thanks their server and picks up his utensils. Waits a moment to speak to her, before digging into his food.]

You know, despite the all the weirdness, and craziness, and everything else that goes along with being here...right here, in this moment with you, I'm happy.

[And he is. He's sure it won't be long before something dampens his mood, but at least for dinner he can enjoy the happy buzz he's got going on.]

So am I. [Another of those mushy, affectionate smiles she can't hold too long or else she'll melt into sap.

... and yeah, she's sure something will ruin this eventually, but hey! Gotta enjoy the moment.]

I really am the luckiest girl in Paradisa, I think. My boyfriend is pretty great.

It helps that my girlfriend is so amazing. Wanting to plan nice things for her comes easy.

[Smiles at her one more time before he digs into his food.]

Mm, these fries are amazing.

You just used the same word to describe me and fries.

[Holds a fry up.] If you are going to be compared to a fry, this is the fry you want to be compared to.

[She takes a long drink of her milkshake. Yes, that's what she's wanted all day.]

Normally, I'd pass. But since we're on a date at a malt shoppe, I think it's required that I do. [Leans in to take a sip.]

[When he leans in, she swipes some of the whipped cream with her index finger and plops it on his nose.]

Oops.

Hey. [Wiggles his nose, while he snatches the milkshake from her.]

Since you wasting the milkshake and not appreciating it, I'll make sure it gets a good home.

[She slides his drink over to her side.]

Fine! See if I care. You're the worst.

[Plucks the straw from his drink and puts it in the milkshake, so there are two straws in it.]

Okay, okay. I'll share.

[The pretend pout can only last so long! She laughs.]

You just wanted to share a milkshake. Like in the movies. Aww.

Just imagine if we had gone to Lana's restaurant and ordered spaghetti and meatballs.

You're a sap, I hope you know.

It's just...nice to be able to go on a real date, and not have to cancel because of some impending crisis, or be half-asleep, or have my mind on something else entirely.

Yeah. [A smile.] It's nice to have you one hundred percent here.

I like being one hundred percent here. [Takes another sip of the milkshake.]

Otherwise, I'd be missing out on this milkshake. [Teasing!]

Sorry. [Leans in to give her a quick kiss on the lips. The kiss is chaste, but given he just kissed her in a busy restaurant, he hopes she recognizes the significance.]

[She does. She runs her foot up his leg a bit.]

I was kidding, but I got a kiss out of it so whatever!

And your milkshake back.

[Slides it back over to her. Then he takes his foot out of his shoe, so he can brush his foot against hers.]
